Lovely property right on the river. Comfortable bed. The house is well equipped and the hot tub felt great after long days of hiking. Got to see lots of wildlife while relaxing on the deck.

Beautiful home with a stunning view and close to the beaches! The only issue we encountered was with the hot water - on the morning we left, we only had cold water for showers. I informed Ted so hopefully the issue’s been resolved.

Very nice place for my family. Kids and adults…We went to the beach, we took the kayak into the river, used the hot tub, and sat on the porch. My nephew went fishing off the property and caught his first fish. My niece sat in the fluffy chair upstairs and watched a movie and said she felt like a queen in the big house. Nice open concept for family and kids had fun. Hot water went out the first night, but was fixed the next day. I took one star off the accuracy because the grill outside wasn’t clean to use. We tried cleaning it. I don’t want that to take away from the pretty and fun house though. I just wouldn’t have had brought bbq. Also it’s an easy fix. I guess I’m saying there is a lot to do or you can just hang on the porch and relax… which made it great for all ages. House had everything we needed and bedrooms were quiet and comfortable.

July 4th on the river

Our group of 4 adults and 2 preteen boys had the best time staying at this beautiful property. Ted was a gem and very communicative and accommodating. The house was perfectly stocked with everything we needed. My son fell in love with kayaking on the river. We saw an abundance of wildlife and got to enjoy an epic fireworks display on the river. 10 out of 10 experience. We will definitely be back!!

Piece of heaven

My friends and I loved our stay on the Nehalem River. It felt very private, relaxing, and cozy. We were within 45 minutes of all the places we wanted to go to other than the airport and Multnomah falls which made it a great experience as well. The hot tub was a huge win for us, we spent each evening of it soaking in the hot tub laughing, relaxing, and enjoying the view. I would recommend this place to everyone wanting to stay on the Oregon Coast.

Lovely, comfortable home & beautiful view of river

Excellent communication from owner. Well stocked kitchen items, bath & bed linens, shampoo, toilet paper, etc. Happy to chill out at this home, using the hot tub, watching the river & seeing the night sky away from the city. Lots of scenic places to hike & enjoy the ocean in this area, too. Loved reading the history of how the home was built. We found it extremely comfortable to stay here.

Wonderful home. Very comfortable and clean. Open floor plan with a well-stocked kitchen. The beds upstairs were sooo comfortable. We enjoyed a fire outside each evening alongside a breathtaking river view. Super nice neighbors. We had a very relaxing long weekend. Thank you, Ted.

Quiet and serene

Lovely place to stay. Quiet and right on the river and about 15ish minutes to the manzanita beach. Fully stocked and absolutely beautiful. You can tell lots of love, blood , sweat and tears went in to building this lovely home. Only suggestion I would make is to put non-slip treads on the rugs in the kitchen and halls.

Beautiful home by the river and very close to beaches!

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, spacious home! The hot tub was lovely and the kitchen was wonderfully large and well stocked with cookware and spices! It was a great place to relax with our pups and was conveniently close to shops and Manzanita beach. Would be happy to stay again!

Birthday weekend

Spent the weekend with some great friends from Montana and enjoyed the beautiful house on the river. The hot tub was great and we were sad to leave once our visit was over. Overall great house, I grew up staying at my grandparents house in wheeler where they always had everything you needed and this house felt just like that, warm and comfortable

Christmas vacation stay on the coast.

Thank you Ted for allowing us to rent this most amazing and stunning home on the Nehalem river. He has provided everything someone may need while staying there. My spouse, three children, my sister and I all spent a week here during the 2024 Christmas holiday season while visiting the coast to see our family. He went above and beyond to make sure we were all accommodated for. There was a power outage due to a storm and he communicated with us all the updates from the electric company about when the outage would be back on. We were also able to host our Christmas dinner there at this home. Thank you Ted for making this a Christmas that we will cherish for many years.

Perfect Getaway

The Gibson House is a wonderful family getaway spot. Thank you for sharing your home with us. Thoroughly enjoyed the location and amenities. The house was clean, comfy beds and beautiful location. Hope to visit this location again. Only thing we did notice there was only one wash cloth between the two bathrooms. We made do but may want to consider adding more. Other than that perfect.

Relaxation Time

We had a very relaxing, fun time with family and friends. The house had everything we needed. A flyer was left telling about a Jazz festival at a local winery. We went and had a great time, it was just down the road. We even did a little fishing but nothing was biting, but we still had fun. Beautiful home with everything you need!

Great view and overall value

I had my son, husband, and some family visiting from Australia and the U.K. with me. We enjoyed the superb view and tranquil setting; the lovely interior, the home decor, the well-stocked kitchen; and access to streaming platforms. I would give this property the highest rating except that we had an issue with the upstairs bathroom and some furniture needed dusting. The owner, Ted was quick to respond with text. We forgot a couple of things, and he graciously informed us so we could pick them up later. Overall, our family greatly enjoyed our time here.

Very relaxing

Great place to stay. Spent two weeks there during the summer. Sat on the deck and watched the boats go by on the river. Watched the deer graze in the meadow across the street. Enjoyed the local flavor, especially Wanda’s and Buttercup. Short drive to the beach at Manzanita. 5 stars.

Wonderful getaway on the Oregon coast

It doesn’t get much better than the Gibson house! The house was beautiful, well stocked, clean, and comfortable. We loved sitting in the deck (often in the hot tub) just watching the river. So peaceful. An eagle was perched in the tree by the driveway -very cool to see him flying to the river to catch fish!! Ted is great and helped us with all our questions. Manzanita Beach is a 5-min drive away with some great cafes and restaurants. Don’t even think twice - you’ll be so happy you booked this house!
