"My ETA was well past the last check in, but a member of staff was kind enough to stay behind. The dorm had 4 bunkbeds, an AC unit and a fan. The AC and fan worked well. Each guest was given a towel and a locker big enough to hold a large backpack. The bed had an Asian style firm mattress and a thin sheet, a private light, 2 sockets and a small shelf. "Our stay at the Backyard Inn was nothing short of a nightmare. The experience felt like actually sleeping outside with the chickens. The pod smelled of chicken waste, the sink didn’t drain, and the noise was unbearable—constant chicken noises, roosters crowing, and no peace or quiet to rest. We couldn’t wait to leave. "Small hostel in a great location. The owners are super nice and booked our canyoneering tour for us, and rented us snorkels for our whole stay. The room was nice enough, no frills but good for what we needed. The shared bathroom was not great though, and could do with some attention. "Room smelled like cigarette smoke. Very noisy. No blanket, only sheet. No windows. Person was not there to check me in. Only one functional shower for multiple people. Would not recommend. "
