Perfect spring break getaway

We had a birth in the family that happened to be over spring break and this was the perfect spot to stay! Incredibly clean, in the perfect spot, and responsive hosts! Will definitely be back.

3rd visit

This is our 3rd stay at this house. Comfortable sleeping quarters, no chemical smells from cleaners or air fresheners, nightlights, fire pit, fun games in basement, and a quiet secluded property. If we are in the area we always look this up first!

Quiet, peaceful and comfortable

As the title says, if you're looking for a comfortable house to get away from everything- except nature- this is the place. We enjoyed our stay even though some parks and trails were closed due to the recent hurricane, but we expected that. This house has everything you need. One thing- if the internet quits working, just unplug the router at the wall and plug back in- worked for us twice.

Fantastic Place

Took some time to spend with my college age kids for fall break. Fantastic home, love the fire pit. Will def be back. Awesome to just disconnect from everything. This place is a gem!

Stay #2

This was our second time here. It was a great place for my immediate family to relax while I dealt with some serious family business. The trees surrounding it did wonders for my soul. Clean, stocked with everything we needed, and enough fun activities to entertain us at the cabin. A highlight was beating my son EVERY game of the loop darts!

Absolutely recommend staying!! No second thoughts! Book it!

The house was beautiful and set back in a quiet setting. Much needed for us after spending the days at the baseball field. Loved all the space the house had even though we didn’t need it. Was worth it!!! The kids loved the games they had to offer. If we even have a tournament near here again we will be looking at this house and possibly staying longer to fully enjoy it. Also excellent communication.

Amazing Place

We had amazing stay from the moment we arrived right up to our departure. The home was spotless when we arrived. One of the cleanest homes I've stayed at! If you like to cook for your group, the kitchen is very well stocked with cookware, and the grill is amazing. There are plenty of dishes, including plastic ones for small children. The layout is great for multiple types of groups, including friends and families. This is the perfect place to just hang out at all day or use as a home base to do activities in the area. The loft sleeping area works fine if someone doesn't mind a little less privacy, but you won't be disturbed even if someone else has the upstairs bedroom as it has a private bathroom. The sleeper sofas are acceptable, but they are still sleeper sofas, so if I were to stay here again, I might bring an air mattress. There is plenty of space to set one up either in the loft or the basement. The fire pit looked great, but sadly it rained every night that we could have used it. We would definitely wish we could have stayed longer!

Great Escape to the NC Mountains

Very clean and nice secluded house. Everything is up to date, communication was great and so was the seamless check-in/check-out process. Worked perfect for both adults and kids and was a central location to drive to all attractions. Would definitely recommend!

We had a fantastic NC vacation! This house is extremely clean and comfortable. We had tons of room for our family of 5 adults. The location was perfect for us. We were able to visit Asheville and Hickory easily. There are many waterfalls and trails nearby. The communication with the owner and property manager were both excellent.

Fantastic Stay

We stayed here for Thanksgiving, and had an amazing time! The kitchen was well stocked for our big meal, and the kitchen was roomy enough for several cooks. The furniture, sheets, and towels were high quality and comfy, just like being at home! We had a great time playing games downstairs. The hosts were fantastic to communicate with. The area was beautiful and very private.

Amazing Family Time!

This property was perfect! Away from all the hustle and bustle but not too far from the fun stuff. It was the cleanest property we have ever stayed in and had everything we needed for cooking and enjoying family time. The gameroom in the basement was a hit with our kids. A plus was the cutest red toad that lives close and cane out each night. We all loved seeing him! I highly recommend this property!

History trip

Our family settled in the South mountains in the 1780’s from Ireland. Spent our time traveling to old homestead locations and cemeteries. House and location were perfect for our trip.

Peaceful retreat near Lake James

We had a wonderful weekend getaway near Lake James at this perfect cabin in the woods. The cabin had everything one could hope for. It was a perfect balance of fun and activities and rest and tranquility. We enjoyed the firepit, game room, and local lake activities which kept us busy and balanced it with quiet time on the porch swing, the beautiful variety of trees and plants, and listening to the sounds of nature. The cabin is beautifully kept with all of the details one would need for the perfect vacation. The owners have thought of everything! We will definitely be back.
