This property was the perfect location in the Amboise area for my husband and I to use as a base for day trips to the area castles. I wanted to stay a little outside Amboise, and I couldn't believe this cottage was available. I felt like we were living a dream! This cottage is quiet and safe, but also close to Amboise, a supermarket, restaurants, wine tasting, etc. The owner is delightful! She left us a bottle of wine and fresh tomatoes from the local market. All kitchen appliances were easy to use. All the rooms were comfortable and well appointed. The washer-dryer in the cottage was very convenient. We loved it and recommend it for families and couples. It was one of the highlights of our trip.

Fabulous property near Amboise

Lovely property in the heart of the Loire. Only problem was the heat-unusually hot for June meant difficulty in sleeping as no air conditioning (but fans were provided). Pascale was an excellent hostess.

Perfect French Countryside Stay

Loved everything about this beautiful house. Location - although too far to walk into town, there was tranquility and reprieve from busy chateau towns. (Bolt service available in and out of town),Facilities- All home comforts in a tastefully decorated style. Great to have washing facilities after lengthy travel.Host - Pascale very friendly and obliging.Note: There is a steep winding staircase to upstairs bedrooms but after the first day, we learnt to conquer them!Thoroughly recommend La Vernelle

A perfect getaway in Loire Valley.The location is perfectly positioned for visiting castles, markets, wineries & caves.The host is very attentive to your needs.The kitchen was well supplied with equip. & lounge very comfortable.The bedrooms a dream along with the bathrooms.In the morning the native bird chorus is a treat highlighting you are in the country.

Ihana maalaisidylli Loiren laakossa

Vietimme viikon erittäin siistissä ja tilavassa talossa La Vernelle. Ympäristö on hyvin rauhallinen. Laitoimme joka päivä ruokaa, mihin hyvin varustettu keittiö tarjosi mainiot puitteet. Pyykinpesukone ja kuivausrumpu olivat myös ahkerassa käytössä. La Vernelle on sisustettu tyylikkäästi. Alakerran tiloista löytyy mm. hauskoja punaisia yksityiskohtia ja lukuisat taulut saavat sinut hymyilemään. Vuokrasimme sähköpyörät Amboisesta ja ajelimme pitkin upeita pyöräreittejä Loiren laaksossa. La Vernelle on oiva tukikohta myös pyöräilyä ajatellen. Pascale-rouva on todella vieraanvarainen ja auttavainen emäntä. Parempaa ei voi toivoa.

Living in France

We stayed a month to live the dream of life in France. This house is perfectly located to explore the riches of the Loire valley while at the same time giving you the serene experience of French country life. Magnifique maison dans un cadre idyllique

Nous avons séjourné une semaine dans cette magnifique maison très bien décorée et aménagée. Le cadre est idyllique, un calme absolue au milieu d’un parc où nous avons pu croiser des écureuils et des chevreuils. En plus la maison se situe à quelques kilomètres d’Amboise: son château et le clos Luce et a quelques kilomètres de nombreux autres châteaux . Merci beaucoup Pascale pour votre accueil adorable.

Traumhaftes Chalet im Grünen...

Das großzügige Haus war mit allen Annehmlichkeiten ausgestattet. Die Küche mit Sitzbereich lud zum Kochen und gemütlichen Beisammensein ein. Schlafzimmer im Obergeschoß waren ebenso sehr großzügig dimensioniert. Eine super freundliche Gastgeberin rundeten die tollen 2 Wochen ab. Auch die logistische Lage zum Besuch der vielen Schlösser war von Vorteil. WIR kommen wieder.

Fantastic Stay in Amazing House

What a lovely house. Host Pascale is very welcoming and friendly. The house is beautifully clean and very well styled throughout with a mixture of old meets new. Would recommend this property. The photos don’t do it any justice. My only comment is that due to the rural ( but beautiful ) location, it is a 10 min drive ( not walkable ) into town. Would stay here again.

Lovely house, lovely owner, lovely location

This property is finished to a high spec and the owner is on hand for any issues (if they arise). The gite is in a fantastic location to visit some of the best Chateaux in the area and is very close to the bustling town of Amboise which has multiple restaurants and cafes, as well as a lovely market. With our 8 year old in tow, we also kayaked on the Loire (15mins drive away), and went to Gadawi Nord (Go Ape but better) which is 30 mins away near Tours. All in all, we would happily return to this property and this area.

Fantastic house

The house is absolutely beautiful and perfectly located for touring around the Loire Valley. Pascale is a wonderful hostess and welcomed us warmly. The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated. The bathrooms were large and en-suite with great water pressure and plenty of hot water. Having a dedicated laundry room was a plus. Bedrooms had very comfortable beds and plenty of storage. The kitchen was fun to cook in and we were able to take advantage of the great produce and meats to be found in the region. We will definitely be back, the area has so much to offer. Very highly recommended.

Wunderschön, ruhig und zentral im Loire-Tal

Sehr schönes, ruhig gelegenes Haus mit eigener Zufahrt (elektisches Tor), das zum Grundstück eines kleinen Schlösschens der Eigentümer-Familie gehört. Im Garten hört man nur Vogelgezwitscher und freut sich abends über den Ausblick auf die tiefer gelegene Wiese, auf der dann zwei Pferde, ein Esel und zwei freundliche Ziegen grasen. Die Vermieterin Pascale ist super lieb und hilfsbereit, hat gute Restaurant- und Ausflugstipps. Die Bäckerei im Ort ist toll: leckerste Baguettes und Tartelettes. Das Haus ist fantastisch gelegen für Ausflüge zu den Schlössern und in die Umgebung. Es ist sehr sauber und auch praktisch eingerichtet, mit separatem Raum für Waschmaschine und Trockner. Auch bleibt es im Erdgeschoss sehr kühl bei Hitze. Draußen im Garten kann man herrlich im Baum-Schatten essen und in Lounge Chairs bis spät abends lesen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und unsere Urlaubszeit genossen. Uneingeschränkte Weiterempfehlung! Vielen Dank für Ihre Gastfreundschaft, Pascale.

Ein Traum!

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Ferienhaus. Die Besitzer sind sehr nett und das Haus ist ein absoluter Traum! Es liegt wunderbar und ist sehr ruhig! Unser Hund konnte auf dem Gelände frei herumlaufen und alles begutachten! Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen:)

Erholsame Ferien!

Wir haben unsere Ferienwoche im Haus La Vernelle sehr genossen! Das Haus, der Kontakt mit den Eigentümern, die Lage, die Sauberkeit, alles sehr, sehr gut. Amboise ist für Ferien an der Loire ein guter Standort, da zentral gelegen, sodass Ausflüge in jede Richtung gut möglich sind. Die Velowege sind toll ausgeschrieben und führen durch schöne Landschaften. Hier Ferien zu machen können wir nur empfehlen!

Kleinod in toller Lage mit sehr charmanter Gastgeberin

Das Objekt übertraf unsere Erwartungen. Sehr geschmackvoll renoviert und eingerichtet, tolle Küche auch zum Selbstkochen, gemütliche und große Schlafzimmer, extrem ruhig. Alles hat super funktioniert, Kommunikation mit der charmanten Gastgeberin über whatsapp einwandfrei. WLAN im Erdgeschoß gut für den ein oder anderen dienstlichen Termin für Viko. Mappe mit Tips für Restaurantbesuch, Markt in Amboise und vieles mehr. Amboise in 10 Min mit dem Auto zu erreichen, Tours in 30 Min. Die bekanntesten Schlösser in max. 60 min. Ein sehr erholsamer Urlaub an der Loire!
