Most genuine hosts

I had an extremely good experience on Naxos, and it was mostly thanks to staying at Petrino. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made you feel like family from the very beginning. I felt truly cared for and appreciated, and it genuinely felt like coming home. It was my first time visiting Naxos, and I’m absolutely certain that my experience at this accommodation made up a big part of what made my whole trip to the island so special. The location was also great – just a short walk to a beautiful beach and a cozy taverna with an incredible view of the Aegean Sea. If I return to Naxos, I’ll definitely come back to visit Petrino – if not to stay there again, then at least to say hello to the amazing hosts and to enjoy another amazing dinner on their terrace.

Wir haben vier wundervollen Tage in Petrino verbracht! Die ruhige Lage und schöne Umgebung lädt richtiggehend zum Entspannen ein. Wir wurden von der ganzen Familie herzlich begrüßt und haben uns durchgängig wie zu Hause gefühlt. Sofia kochte abends ein hervorragendes vier Gänge Menü und auch das Frühstück ist morgens liebevolle angerichtet. Der Weg zum Strand ist kurz und der Hund Lulu begleitet tatsächlich alle Gäste gerne ans Wasser! Ein rundum toller Aufenthalt, was man auch daran merkt, dass viele Gäste seit Jahren wieder kommen. Wir ab nun auch!

The place is beautiful and secluded. Feels like being in a family home. Very friendly and lovely people they’ll take care of you perfectly. The food is delicious. Room was pretty and clean. Walk 5mn to the beach.

Excellent stay for a relaxing family vacation! Very charming boutique hotel run by the family. Very caring hosts, very clean and amazing food! Easy 10 min walk from the beach. Building is located on top of the hill (nice sea breeze and great views) and is surrounded by the shade of grape vines and fig trees which helps with the midday heat! We would return in a heartbeat!

We enjoyed our three-day stay at Petrino. The setting, in a quiet little valley overlooking the sea, is beautiful. The whole family is ready to make sure you have a fantastic stay. The rooms, with spacious terrace, are spotlessly clean, and the breakfast is rich, fresh and varied. We had the most incredible 3 night stay - the reviews are true. It was like staying with family. The room was beautiful, the bed was super large and comfortable, clean and had truely stunning views of the ocean. Breakfast was an array of home cooked pitas or cakes among many other things, but the dinner was home cooking Greek food at its finest. What really was the icing on the cake is Chora and her family, whom we cannot thank enough! We are super cautious travellers, but for the first time we had done the unthinkable and left our passports at the place. Chora was super helpful and understanding and personally delivered them to the port and arranged for them to be sent and expected nothing in return! This shows the true generosity and kindness of Chora and her family. We will definitely stay again without question!!

Perfect Greek experience

We had a brilliant stay here. Everything was perfect. The breakfasts and dinners were amazing, so delicious, all home made food and fruit and veg grown on site. We had octopus and fava beans one night and it was one of the best things we've ever eaten! The family were wonderful and our son loved playing with their children. Everyone was so professional and kind. The hotels in next to a lovely beach with crystal clear water, we would love to go back one day the perfect Greek experience. Thank you!

Wir haben für 5 Nächte im Petrino gewohnt und es war alles ausgezeichnet! Das Apartment gross und sehr sauber, ausserdem sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Unsere Terasse mit Blick auf den Gemüsegarten, vom Tisch aus die Feigen zum Greifen nahe, war eine echte Freude. Die ganze Famile war ganz toll gastfreundlich und herzlich, sodass wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Das Restaurant ist unbedingt einen oder mehrere Besuche wert, denn es wird excellent gekocht! Danke für alles, es war wunderschön bei Ihnen!

The team at Petrino have really made a fantastic effort to ensure our stay was great. Breakfast was delicious and most of it was locally grown and home made. Hara (her name means Joy in Greek) was a true joy in helping us arrange transport and making sure we were able to find a rent a car. The rooms are very tidy, a little bit small but there was a wonderful terrace with view over the lush gardens and fields as well as the small beach at Abrami. Great value for the cost of the room. A big compliment and thank you to all the team at Petrino

We had a wonderful time! Everything was perfect - all we could possibly have wished for! The food was absolutely delicious, all cooked fresh and using home-grown ingredients. The grounds were superb, with mulberry trees cleverly strung with lights for dining in the evening and a fabulous view of sunset. Our rooms were beautiful - decorated in neutral colours and light and airy. The view from our terrace was stunning. All the facilities provided were very well-equipped. This family-run business is outstanding - they made us feel so welcome and we are already planning our next trip!

Super schöne Unterkunft, suber leckeres Essen (Zutaten aus dem eigenen Garten), gekocht wird jeden Tag was anderes, super Personal (die gesamte Familie hilft mit und lässt es ein wunderschöner Urlaub werden, sehr persönlich) sehr sauber und super Badezimmer (neu und sauber). We loved everything about our stay. We booked the king studio and the view from it is amazing. The room was spotless and the bed was really comfortable. The property itself is well maintained and inviting. Petrino's is family owned and operated and we felt like we were part of the family from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. We had all of our dinners there and they were absolutely the best meals of our 6 week vacation in the Greek islands. We would highly recommend Petrino's and are already planning our next trip to Greece around staying there!!

Nous avons adoré l’hospitalité de cet établissement. Nous y sommes senti chez nous. Nous y avons mangé nos meilleurs repas grecs de tout notre voyage (3 semaines). Les repas maison cuisinés avec amour avec les produits frais du jardin nous ont comblés. Les repas étaient bien assortis aux vins maisons aussi fabriqués maison. Vraiment beaucoup de travail pour nous satisfaire. Nous avons grandement apprécié le choix de notre auberge. C’est un endroit tranquille où nous nous y sommes reposés. La famille est accueillante et disponible pour nous. Quelques clients que nous y avons rencontrés n’en y étaient pas a leur première visite chez Petrino. Finalement, on y revient!! Nous avons pu nous baigner à la plage qui était à env 200 mètres. Nous sommes en amour avec coin de pays.

If you're looking for a true Greek family experience, Petrino is the place for you! Just 30 minutes out of Naxos port, you feel as though you're truly escaping the hustle and bustle of travel and getting that real relaxation you were looking for. The Petrino family operates this apartment as a team; sharing the cooking, cleaning, laundry, farming table-waiting duties. They offer a deliciously cooked family meal every night, made fresh from what they grow right there in their own garden. And breakfast is a dream, with a huge selection of breads, cereal, eggs, marmalades and sweet treats. And Lulu the dog loves to go with you on walks down to the beach, which is only 100 meters down the hill from the apartments. As an entire family of 4, we highly recommend the Petrino Rooms and Apartments. Great food, great family, great new friends! Thank you!

Amazing

Great, Off the beaten path getaway. A family run place, and the love they’ve put into it really shows. Plan to eat breakfast and dinner here- you won’t regret it. All the food is fresh and local and most of it grown in their own garden and orchard. Sophia was a caterer and the food is top notch and plentiful. Having dinner there also means you are not driving the narrow island roads at night. You will want to rent a car to get there, as it’s in the country. I truly did not want to leave and will definitely be going back!
