The cottage was decent, clean and okay for 2 adults with a small dog to sleep, and get ready, not much more. The bed was comfortable for a couple nights. WIFI was extremely spotty, and we basically didn't even use it. There are limited grounded plug receptacles, so might need to be creative. The air conditioner worked fine, but it is just a window conditioner. Basically "hanging out" indoors would not be a recommendation, it just isn't comfortable. It is fully stocked; however very dated! There wasn't a large skillet that could be used (Teflon all scratched) no dish strainer. The outdoor space up by the cottage is very small, cluttered and dirty. It could be spruced up to be more comfortable and inviting however; biggest issue is the neighbors that you're literally right against, no fence, only no trespassing sticks with their property line marked and they very obviously do not like people renting next to them. They didn't say anything, just gave us dirty looks and slammed their door shut a couple times (we were just sitting quietly by the fire, not late) made it super uncomfortable to sit outdoors also. Maybe we're just used to southern hospitality but the people up here just are not friendly. We never did find the bike path, there is a road right outside the cabin that we rode on but it doesn't go by water?
We did do a couple trips to Oscoda Beach and Tawas State Park, both within 1/2 hour drive and absolutely beautiful beaches, we took our bikes to the park to ride.
