Enjoyable family time despite some disappointments

This is a beautiful property that, unfortunately, had a few issues during our stay. Despite assurance that we would be notified, we were not notified that our request for a 2-hour early check-in was available, even though the house was ready. The VRBO listing states that it is an "entire house" but fails to mention that the room above the garage (connected by a covered passageway to the main house entry) is an occupied rental. This surprised and disappointed us. (The tenant was very pleasant, thankfully.) Not knowing upon check-in that the existing car parked outside the garage was stationary became a problem that had to be worked out with tenant because our 2 vehicles blocked that vehicle in the driveway. A noticeable sewer smell, especially in powder room, was detectable throughout the entire house at times. It appears that this issue is being worked on because there was a gaping hole in the ground outside the downstairs patio area and a backhoe parked beside it. This left the impression that the residence was in the middle of an on-going work project, which was encouraging, but also disappointing for our stay. In spite of the the above issues, we were comfortable and ended up having a great time with our family. However, we would not have rented this property if these issues had been known. If/when they are resolved, we'd definitely rent it again.

Cozy property minutes to Mt Princeton hot springs. We spent the weekend with family and had a great time. The house was fully stocked for cooking meals and the house has the perfect mountain home feel. One very minor thing is the basement was very cold. It took a day for the space heaters to warm up the place and it was fine after this. Overall we loved it!

Nice place close to buena vista

We really enjoyed staying at this property. The location was great close to buena vista but felt far enough away from city with a nice view of the national park and surrounding areas. The only negative is no A/c made it pretty hot, especially at night. We had to open sliding door and take a large fun upstairs and in the living room to cool it off. Lots of windows allows for alot of heat to come in. That was our only negative otherwise a very nice place.

Family get together

Property was fine, bedroom upstairs with issue and unable to open, very hot and took 2 more days for someone to fix. Had my 77 and 75 year old sibling and wife staying there, which they moved to other accommodations related to heat. Slow response to fix and not excusable

Great location

Great location , fun house design for a small group. The house has a live VHS player in the basement with a few VHS tapes! That was awesome and I will gladly send the owner more VHS tapes for the collection if he wants to build it up. The only thing I can complain about is that someone was staying in the garage studio. I did not anticipate having someone else on the property.

My sisters and I really enjoyed our weekend here! The house was great and the location was perfect for us to spend the day at Mt. Princeton. It was very comfortable for 7 adults and we would stay here again.

Great house!

The house is very close to the hot springs which is what we went for. It has a very cool lay out and a unique mountain vibe to it. The upstairs stays very hot while the basement cold but nothing too terrible. There are wood burning fireplaces throughout the entire home which is cool. We never used them but the entire house smelled like campfire. Other than that great wildlife everywhere and awesome views.

Surrounded by Spectacular Mount Princeton Views

Cliffside home is a slice of heaven at the foot of Mount Princeton. We enjoyed this spacious home with it's interesting floor plan. The location is fantastic with views of Mount Princeton and the Chalk Hills as well as just a short drive down to the hot springs. The kitchen is well stocked with all the little extras we needed for our stay. We loved the wildlife that wandered around the house--deer, rabbits, turkeys, birds.
