Wonderful home on the river, was the absolute perfect spot for our group to watch the fireworks during the Christmas Festival! Hosts were very accommodating, great communication, made our stay easy and stress free! We have stayed in this home twice and had wonderful experiences both times!

Family Trip

3 couples. Nice location across from downtown. We enjoyed sitting on the porch. The ladies enjoyed shopping. Many historic sites in the area. Don't miss the alligator farm .

Guests Paid for & Cleaned property

This property delivers on location and accommodations for our party of married couples with king-sized beds and large bedrooms with en suite bathrooms! We were excited about our stay, as the house is located on Cane River. It provides a breathtaking view of the river along with shops, restaurants & bars on Front Street. Our excitement about the property was curtailed upon arrival. The property had NOT been cleaned nor sanitized for our stay. Our party moved to action cleaning and sanitizing all areas of the home's interior. We were deliberate in our search for a "pet-free" property. The property advertises as "No pets allowed". However, pet hair was throughout the property to include the stairs where there was a pet gate stored against the wall adjacent to the stairs. We wiped and sanitized hard surfaces that had visible food stains, sticky residue or buildup: kitchen countertops, island, refrigerator's front/door handles, dishwasher front, bathroom countertops and toilets. Kitchen & bathroom floors were mopped. They were slippery upon arrival with a shiny residue. All carpeted or rug surfaces were vacuumed to rid the property of pet hair and Doritos crumbs that were on the main floor, lower bedroom and stairs. The club chairs located on the main floor behind the island are heavily stained/soiled along with the window seat in the dining area. Two of the bedroom's duvets are soiled/stained. Hall bath toilet seat is broken. I have photos date/time stamped to share.

Amazing stay!!!

I don’t even know where to begin with how great of an experience this stay was from the communication with the property manager to the wonderful home! We were greeting with a cake when we checked in, house was fully stocked with EVERYTHING, the location is AMAZING, especially for the fireworks on Saturday! I can’t wait to go back!

Family Weekend

Fantastic location directly on the river. It is a short walk to down town, did it with my 6 year old grandson and he walked the full distance. Kitchen is wonderful for hosting friends and family. A long, huge island made it ideal for several crock pots, and plates of food and snacks. The back porches are covered and run the length of the house, plus the outside deck off the garage. Lots of parking. This is our second time at the house and we've already set up for another trip next year!

Amazing Home on the Cane River

Incredible experience! We came during Thanksgiving week and the owner had decorated the home for Christmas and it was so lovely! We could see the City of Lights from the patio which was fabulous!!

Holiday Weekend

Every year we go to the Christmas light's festival and we have always wanted to stay at this property. The pictures are accurate and the location is perfect. We had an excellent experience and the view from the porches are spectacular. The beds were very comfortable and we loved the huge 3 bathrooms with double sinks and a large shower in each. The kitchen is huge and we enjoyed the ample counter place.

Perfect spot on Cane River

We loved our stay. The house is well appointed, super comfortable, in a fabulous location and has a great kitchen. We were in town for a Thanksgiving Family Reunion and to celebrate my Grandmother’s life. I have spent so much time in Natchitoches over the years, and believe that outside of being in a boat this is the best location to see the Christmas fireworks show. You are literally in the Christmas lights. We have already reserved Thanksgiving 2024!

Veterans Day in Natchitoches

Three couples with 4 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms, extremely functional kitchen, upstairs balcony running length of house + downstairs patio also running length of house = perfect. Walking distance to downtown. Dock would have been great if it hadn't been chilly & rainy. Loved being on the Cane River. The almond pound cake greeting us was yummy!
