The house worked well for our Sister's weekend. The 3 of us enjoyed our time together. We enjoyed the hot tub, used the grill and kitchen, and the atmosphere felt very serene.A few things to keep in mind, the first floor is dimly lit. Making it difficult to sit and read a book or ingredients.The shower curtain liner was so long that we were standing on it while taking a showers. Also, there is nothing to hold onto while getting out of the tub. It made stepping over the sides tub very difficult. None of this made or broke our weekend, just things we noticed.

Cute but needs some TLC

The cabin was easy to book and easy to find. Upon entering we notice the lighting was quite dim. It was a charming but slightly cluttered atmosphere. The kitchen was unappealing with cabinets and drawers very unorganized and not well stocked with updated items. The silverware and utensils appeared to have been tossed into the drawers. The drawers were not clean and we found mouse droppings under the kitchen sink. An indoor grill was listed as an available appliance. Indeed it was there but was filthy. We had to clean it before we could use it. The refrigerator needs attention; the condensation is gathering inside and dripping inside onto the shelves. There was a puddle of water on the floor in front of the refrigerator when we arrived. Some items were dusted while others had not been cleaned in sometime. The hot tub and deck were not very clean or well maintained.The entire place needs a good thorough Spring cleaning.

Amazing stay!!

Everything was just the way we expected! Very clean and organized. Check in was easy. Only thing was that the campfire area was very bumpy and on a hill which was not pictured, and our group was a toddler and two disabled seniors so it was difficult, along with the stairs to upstairs they were not able to use because of how steep they were. Which was also not pictured. But other than that, it was amazing!! Beautiful views!! Amazing relaxation in the hot tub!! Beds were so comfortable too! Has room for 7 to sleep comfortably.

Dark and dusty

Several lights did not work. Including the one at the bottom of the stairs. It was even dark with the shades open. Pretty dusty throughout. The light in the refrigerator didn't work either. Also the seal on the fridge was not the best. We had to make sure we closed it really well. We had 4 women in their 60's and one late 50's who couldn't take a shower because it was a claw foot tub that was too difficult for us to get in to. We did enjoy the hot tub one evening. Enjoyed downtown Nashville,IN.

Great for girls trip

Nice place. We enjoyed checking out the stores and sights in nearby Nashville. Enjoyed the hottub and just sitting out on the deck. The pool table was nice to have also.

Good weekend trip

Had a nice quiet weekend away. The cabin was clean and well stocked with the bare necessities. A few of the lamps and overhead lights didn’t work or had a short but all in all, very cute cabin with good amenities.

Mom, Dad, two kids and grandparents.

Such a wonderful time here with my family. We had nonstop fun. They already want to come again and stay at the same cabin. I love the layout of the kitchen. My son loves the pool table and darts, my daughters favorite was running around the cabin and the hot tub. The adults loved the same thing, plus all the detail and everything provided. FYI, I recommend back into the parking lot (I almost got cremated backing out of it).

Cozy Cabin

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cozy cabin. It was very clean and well maintained. The furniture is comfortable and the hot tub was perfect for our winter stay. The location is far enough away to be secluded but close enough to Brown County State Park and Nashville to be convenient and fun! Highly recommend this cabin!

We had a wonderful relaxing getaway at the Southern Comfort cabin. It was conveniently located to local attractions while still being off the beaten path.

Southern Comfort Indeed

Our family had a great experience for our short getaway to Brown County. The pictures does not do this place justice - it is so much cuter and cozier. We immediately felt at home! 4.5 stars for cleanliness because we did rewash some dishes that were kinda sticky. This is minor because we would probably have done this either way! The hot tub and deck are lovely, the couches are some of the most comfortable ones we’ve ever relaxed on. Beds are comfortable and location is great. Definitely planning on staying here again!

Cozy

We had a great time at southern comfort! The area is beautiful, and neighbors are far enough away that this feels very private. The cabin is very close to the road, and people come flying down the street, so good luck pulling out of the “driveway” without getting hit by a car since you can’t see over the hill that’s 20 feet away. Also, be sure to bring plenty of power banks because working outlets are hard to come by. The location worked well for us and the couches were large and comfy enough to sleep on! Due to COVID, we weren’t able to do a traditional bachelorette party, so a relaxing weekend getaway with some shopping and wine tasting in Brown County was an excellent alternative.
