Overall, it was fine. Not great, not terrible, but certainly not what we expected from the photos and descriptions. To their credit, they were responsive and communicated well. They offered to try to address some issues, but you can't just call a handyman to fix up a whole house.I don't have enough space here to detail everything, but suffice to say it's not in good shape. The entire house smelled like mold or a wet dog. We bought a ton of candles and Febreze to make it tolerable. (I later discovered that the washer smelled awful, which could be the root cause.) Half-painted rooms, unpatched screw/nail holes in every wall, dirty and worn rugs, peeling wallpaper, black specks coming out of the jet tub, belongings and clutter left in closets from previous guests (I assume)... I could go on.Our impression was that someone flipped this house on a DIY budget, and their local maintenance team has been doing a quick patch job between bookings ever since. I can't imagine anyone who owns this place has stepped foot in it recently.Maybe it really did look as nice as the photos when they were taken, but no longer. The cute decor is still around, but what's underneath is falling apart, much like the coffee table with its top unattached.Bachelorette groups (which we were not) should also know this is not a hip, fun part of town. It's fine, but it's not anywhere near where you want to be. And depending on time of day, you might be sitting in a long line of traffic coming or going.
