Our room was disappointing. The decor is very tired and was very dirty and worn. Merivale should be embarrassed to have it in their stable in its current state. It is in a great place and a renovation would make this a great place to stay, until this happens there are many better options in Narooma.

The only positive things were the location, clean towels and bedding, and view from the balcony. Notified reception of issues and still awaiting e mail response from Manager. We would not stay here again. For us, the motels website photos were misleading.

Great service- tired rooms.
Great location. The property is tired - so it is great to hear that they will be embarking on a reno next year. Excellent service and fantastic onsite restaurant Queen Chow. Will try again after reno.

Fabulous find
The location was amazing with views across the Narooma inlet. Walking distance to 2 great hotels and cafes.

We could open the curtins and see the sea. The beds were a bit too hard but it was clean and tidy. We got an up graded to a room with two beds.

The hot water took an extremely long time to become hot. There was a mechanical sound & vibration that seemed to resonate between the rooms. View was great. The bed had to be moved to use the power points, there was dust & debris behind the bed & side tables.

Good sized unit and location. Needs refresh. No insect screens on external sliding door, one kitchen power point needs replacing. Cleaning only adequate for price point.

The views all the way up the coast were excellent, the position of the building being elevated above the towm facing north is fantastic. The room was a bit dated although very clean and comfortable. Will definitely stay again.

Very nice friendly staff. Great location. Nice view of Narooma. Big room . Comfy bed. The only negative points are the noise made by the kitchen/ restaurant staff downstair when they are closing the restaurant. Would be nice to have some milk in the fridge for my coffee in the morning. Overall great experience of the hotel. I would stay there again. Such a convenient hotel

The lady at reception when we checked in was super friendly and helpful, the view from our room was amazing and the location of the hotel was fantastic. The room was good too, and fairly clean and tidy. My only complaint, and it is very very minor, is that the hotel it is looking a bit tired.

A wonderful place with everything you need for a relaxing holiday or weekend getaway. The accommodation was excellent. Clean spacious and comfortable with beautiful views across the river and ocean. A choice of several restaurants and fresh local produce. Loved this stay and location..

We expected more from a property that boasts a 4.5 rating. The property is old in desperate need of an update and some maintenance (our window next to the door had a frame that was very buckled (we were scared to open the window in case it broke) and there wasn't even a fly screen on the balcony door so you couldn't open the door to enjoy the fresh air.
