We want to clarify that our decisions regarding cancellations are guided by VRBO’s policies and the prevailing circumstances at the time. When you requested the cancellation a few days before your arrival, the local authorities had not issued any advisories related to wildfires, and the air quality was safe for travel. There were no airport closures for your arrival. We maintain our policies to maintain the quality of the property. We do our best to ensure our guests' safety and comfort, and we rely on official guidance to make informed decisions, which at the time and still is currently safe to come to this region. Regarding your comments about cleanliness and garbage, there was no garbage, and we are very diligent about this being taken away each time. Our home is professionally cleaned after each guest's departure, and the trash bins are regularly emptied. As for the furniture, we provide plenty of various seating areas around the home strategically placed for our guest’s comfort. However, it's most important to mention that, during your stay, many house rules were not followed despite our being there to check you in. We arrived at your departure to find an excessive mess in the kitchen. Additionally, smoking inside the home and leaving a cigarette on the side table resulted in damage. We provided photographic evidence of these broken house rules to ensure transparency in our communication. During your stay, you refused to answer our messages or correspond with us, and you did not contact us during your stay. It’s our goal to provide a positive experience for all our guests, as you will see in the other 5* reviews.
