Mario went well out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed, and that our stay went well. He provided options for early bag drop-off prior to checkin, information on sights to see within the city, and even arranged for taxi pickup to make things easy for us. Great host, and great property!

Naples Historical Center Stay

Our host was wonderful and made himself available for anything we needed. The home is exactly as pictured and the location is convenient. We only stayed one night so very short stay. The only confusion was that we thought it was a first floor apartment/home, but there is a parking level and then quite a few flights of steps to actually get to the first floor. We had quite a bit of luggage, and a couple of the men had knee replacements, which put a burden on our group to get the luggage to the apartment. All in all though, great location as advertised.

Nice Apartment in the heart of Napoli

This is a nice property in the heart of Napoli. Lots of night life and walking distance to everything. The apartment is secure and safe. It is an open plan with an upstairs and a downstairs. Property management was great and very responsive.

Terrific stay in Naples!

Had a wonderful visit in Naples and would definitely recommend staying at Monticelli Suite! Stayed with friends and colleagues for a work trip, and it was very spacious (2 double/full beds upstairs, 1 double/full bed downstairs, and 3 downstairs twin beds). As the photos indicate, the bedrooms are "open concept" and don't have doors/walls to close them off entirely from other parts of the house. This was totally fine with our group, as we are all friends, but folks should be aware of this if you'd like more privacy. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies and the host even graciously provided snacks, coffee, etc. A welcome surprise for tired, hungry travelers! The air conditioning was also very welcome and made for a comfortable summertime. Our hosts provided terrific recommendations on where to eat in the area as well. (All of which were amazing!) The location is a short ~10-15 min walk from the Port, where you can easily take the ferries to Ischia, Proscidia, etc. and a 5 min walk to the Santa Maria church. There are also several well-stocked groceries nearby, should you need to pick up other provisions. The listing also says there's a washing machine, which there is, but when we asked our host about it, they recommended using the laundromat down the street. Needless to say, we ended up just washing out our clothes in the sink and hanging them out to dry on the laundry line. Easy enough! Definitely recommend for a big group!

This is a wonderful spot in the historical district of Naples. This home has a great vibe. The communication was great and check in amazing! Gina went completely over and beyond to help us, make us feel comfortable. Her kindness will never be forgotten. If I could give it 10 stars I would...highly recommend!

Great stay!

Don’t be taken aback by the craziness of the city street outside. The apartment is beautiful, comfortable and surprisingly quiet. Mario was a huge help getting us settled and then setting up our transportation to the airport. Mario - Thanks for helping this crazy group of women!

Not what we expected

Before getting into the issues, I should mention that our host was very good. Gave us waters, restaurant recommendations, etc. Unfortunately, the apartment was not what we expected. It should be warned there is no elevator! You will be carrying bags up flights of concrete stairs. The apartment smelled and felt like it had been sitting vacant for a while. There is only 1 shower and it is not in good condition. Shower basin is cracked, moldy, door is broken and covered in mold, shower head is covered in mold. The tub upstairs, the jets are covered in mold. There are plenty of beds as stated for a large family. Fortunately/unfortunately we had an emergency at home that we needed to leave after 1 night otherwise we would have been searching for a hotel room. While pictures are of the apartment, my son said the best way to describe our experience is catfished. Really good lighting to make it appear it's nicer than it is. We did not stay long enough to comment on location.

Great host!

We had a blast at Mario’s place! Great space, comfy beds, and nice location. Mario was such a helpful host. Highly recommend stopping by his bar, TOOLS (5 min walk) for a drink and dinner recommendations. We loved it!

Stay in Naples

Apartment was very nice. Only complaint would be that the listing states clothes washer, but is not correct. That said, Mario is a fantastic host. He took the time to meet us a couple of blocks away to help us find the location, and stocked the kitchen with quite a few snack for the kids. Location is convenient to get to the harbor area. Apartment is very spacious.

Bellissimo Appartamento nel Centro Storico di Napoli

Where to start…Mario is an excellent host and the apartment was perfect for us as we wanted to immerse ourselves in to the heart of Naples. We had a flight delay arriving but Mario made sure to be there as soon as we arrived, even though we were later than expected. The apartment had every comfort needed for us, a full kitchen, huge bathrooms and a beautifully modern open concept space in an historic building. The location is perfect for touring all of Naples, we were able to walk to everything we wanted to see and the subway and funiculars are close by as well. Mario went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect, from restaurant suggestions, sights not to be missed and how best to get around this incredible city. Gracie Mario & Gracie Napoli, we will be back!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️❤️

Unique Apartment and Wonderful Host

Mario’s well appointed apartment and warm hospitality made our stay in Naples a great pleasure. This spacious home, well-located in Naples historic center, transports you to the past through its surrounding narrow streets and single-slab stone stairways, and is appointed with modern comfort and conveniences within. The apartment is just a short walk from the port, which was great for us since we boarded a cruise ship in Naples. The area seems quite safe and has pedestrian traffic well into the evening, which can potentially be heard later in the night. Mario is a gracious host, interested in the comfort of his guests and attending to their needs. He provided breakfast (much appreciated) and great tips on the neighborhood and local eateries. He was accommodating on check-in timing and pleasant in every aspect of our interaction. Note, that there is not an elevator and though the apartment is just a couple of manageable flights of stairs, if you are concerned about walking up stairs, you are forewarned. I, personally, am very glad that this historic building has not been retrofitted with an elevator, it would have likely impacted it’s character, historic quality and charm.

Trendy Hip Area in old Napoli

When the moon hits your eye like a big “ Napoli” pizza pie, it’s amore! That’s what this place is, nothing else like it, 14th century treasure, you like authentic, want to feel what life was like before Columbus sailed to America? This place is it, so cool, the host Mario Cirillo is 2nd to none. He’s an amazing host, he helped us in and our with our bags, he actually walked us around the neighborhood to show us the sites, gave us great Restuarant recommendations. Who does this? He cares about his guests like they are family, checking in to see if we needed anything. This flat just is just steps from stop #2 on hop on hop off tour bus ( A line) , in the middle of trendy bars/restaurants and old buildings, to enjoy Naploi’s vibrant life. Mario was available 24/7 to answer questions. His place is huge, nicely stocked (gave us free water/coffee/snacks and is “chic” decorated, he is an artist and has an amazing sound system (Alexa), he lent us a laptop computer, Netflix TV, Hifi-surround system, strong WiFi signal, secure, we will always stay with Mario next time we are in Naples! Nice place

Mario is an excellent host. He provided many suggestions for places to eat and see. Though we were crunched for time, we were able to do a few and they were excellent suggestions. The property is a beautiful residence not far from the port on a one lane road. Our taxi driver had no idea how to find it so Google Maps is a must. I would recommend this property if you need a 1 or 2 night spot for a trip to Pompeii or Capri.

Beautifull Accommodations

Beautifully furnished and decorated with a very modern feel. Our stay was extremely pleasurable. Have the taxi driver take you to Pianeta Donna to avoid carrying your luggage up a very long staircase.

Close to the Port of Napoli

The apartment is large with lots of updated amenities. Lots of restaurants were just a quick, short walk away. Very convenient to lots of attractions in Naples.
