Family Vacation

Kahana 215 was fantastic! Ocean view is one of the best you will get with large windows and a large deck just feet from the beach. My family and I will definitely be back. The unit has central AC, which was great compared to trying to manage rooms individually. The master bedroom is separated by screen type doors from the family room, which are private, but you can hear the TV etc., which is right outside. It didn’t bother us, but good to be aware of. The resort is nice and the services are great for pickle ball, tennis, (we had our own equipment, but you can check out at the front desk) and the pools were nice and easy access to the resort restaurant. Overall, very happy with the condo and will be back.

Beautiful view

The condo is roomy and comfortable. The views and sunset were amazing!! It is a drive to the airport, but the scenery made it fun. Our only issue was the AC. It ran constantly, but the condo never really cooled down. We kept the curtains closed and even closed off the master bedroom. Would definitely recommend this condo if you don’t care about sleeping hot.

Life on the Patio - AMAZING VIEW

Overall 5 stars. We loved it. Was it perfect? No. CONS: * Dated in areas—it’s not a hotel, so there are not multiple outlets/ports near the beds, but we managed. A couple switches did not work but we didn’t care. Decor a little tired, but feels relaxed. * Lighting in master bath is super dim. I had read a prior review to bring my own lit make-up mirror & was glad I did. * Lock on master slider was tough to get latched but we made it work. * Pool is dated & small compared to resorts—but my older teens didn’t care to go in, anyway. * Being on 1st floor (off ground level, essentially up short flight of stairs) meant sunbathers were sometimes closer than we liked, but there was plenty of morning & evening time when no one was on beach. PRO’S: * The View. The View. The View. Breathtaking view. Even the teens were impressed! We sat on the patio every evening, every morning, and tons in between. We saw many whales. Perfect sunrises. Cool view of neighboring islands. * Very nice calm beach. Snorkeling is decent—we found sea turtles 2 times right near beach and swam with them. Highlight of trip. * Kitchen is great— coffee pot, toaster, blender, double ovens & big fridge. Decent amt of dishes/utensils. * Location is near small grocery, restaurants, gas, liquor. * It’s nice but not overly fancy. We felt at home. Relaxed family / older vibe (no loud music/not anyone drinking too much). * A/C worked well. Laundry was nice. Appreciated the beach towels. On-site bar/restaurant was option when we were tired after a long day. Saw groups using grills but we never did. Plenty of lounge chairs. Location of unit in building very close to pool, beach, parking—very easy & convenient.

Wonderful place!

This is our second time staying in this unit and our 3rd time at Sands Of Kahana. We keep coming back because we always have suck a great experience! The location is amazing! It's close to everything we need, but the best part is it's right next to the perfect beach! We love this unit because it's on the bottom level facing the ocean so the views are amazing and it's just a 1 minute walk to the water. The unit is clean and decorated nicely! We'll be back again!!!

Large Condo with Amazing Views

The check in process was very smooth, and the property has lots of available parking spaces. The condo itself was bigger than expected with lots of counter top & closet space. Some issues with cleanliness: We had an ant infestation in the second bathroom. We appreciate management being so prompt in sending someone to spray the area, but the issue persisted throughout our stay. Lighting is a bit dim at night, but the condo’s many windows allow for lots of natural lighting during the day! also, the fan light in the second bedroom was out. The AC was also a bit finicky for us. Lots of beach towels & equipment for use!

Heaven on earth

This condo was incredible and it is located right on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The property was well maintained and it’s close to everything you want. The pool and restaurant onsite were great.

Maui Vacation

I don’t think the photos describe how nice the condo really is - it had a beautiful view, close to the restaurant, pool, beach, and parking lot which make the experience that much better. I plan on staying there in the future.

Wonderful views

Great views from all of the rooms and the lanai of both Molokai and Lanai. Sunsets were great and the sounds of the surf were relaxing. The condo was spacious and well appointed. The furniture and the beds were comfortable. The resort is smaller and more intimate than many of the larger resorts. The beach and pool were not overcrowded. Would stay here again in the future

Amazing property!!

We really enjoyed staying at this beautiful unit. It was extremely clean and very spacious for our family of 5, including 4 adults and 1 teenager. The views and sounds of the ocean were spectacular! I did a ton of research for properties and ended up changing to this one for the modern feel of the furniture and layout. I was not disappointed. We ended up seeing more turtles at our beach here than at other spots around the island. We snorkeled a lot. I only wish we had more time at the property. We planned numerous hikes so our actual time in the condo was limited but I am still glad we stayed here. The chairs and beach equipment were a nice touch to be able to use even though we brought our own burrito chairs and cooler. We loved it!! If we go back to Maui, I will definitely try to book this property again.

Beautiful and bigger than pictured

Fabulous stay in this “mansion” of a condo. From the minute we walked through the door, we were in awe of this place. Gorgeous view, beautiful beach, pool was heated and the restaurant on site was so convenient. Air conditioning worked great, kitchen fully stocked, boogie boards, chairs and beach towels provided in the unit. It was hard to leave!! Also, the biggest turtles right in the shallows of the beach for us to snorkel with.

Spacious Condo with beautiful views

Very pleasant experience at the Sands Of Kahana, would recommend you research what you want to see first in Maui then book location. Pool was refreshing, beach small but beautiful, onsite restaurant staff fabulous. Overall unit was very well stocked with beach towels, chairs, and kitchen essentials. Maui was magnificent and the historic district of Lahania just lovely.

Beautiful location

loved our stay and for the price, it was good. Restaurant and staff were great. Sullivan mgmt. was prompt with responses. However the sectional was very dirty and we had to vacuum sand before we could use it. It still felt dirty and worn. Linens also need to be replaced. Kitchen isn't very well stocked. It has the basics. We had to ask for a wine opener. It wouldn't take much to make this a great place. the view made up for the deficiencies, but I hope they make some improvements to make it great.

Sands of Kahana #215

We had a wonderful two week stay at Sands of Kahana! Our unit was well equipped with two large bedrooms and bathrooms, both of which offered a lanai facing the ocean. The kitchen was fully furnished with high quality appliances for cooking meals. We dined in the majority of our trip, and made use of the wonderful outdoor barbeque grills, which are located within 100 steps of the room. We had several board game nights with the family at the dining room table with seating for 8. The covered 2nd floor lanai provided wonderful views every day and an awesome place to just hang out with two tables and seating for 8. We watched some tremendous sunsets gazing out at the sky between Molokai and Lanai. The beach was absolutely wonderful! The majority of our trip we experienced calm seas which were perfect for snorkeling. My daughter's loved seeing the various species fish and catalogued them during our stay. We saw turtles swimming around and sunning on the beach which was awesome. For several days we experienced larger seas and spent our afternoons on boogie boards and floating lounge chairs crashing into the soft, sandy beach. The location in Kahana was wonderful. Our condo was within walking distance of many eateries and convenience stores. We especially enjoyed Dollies and Maui Brewing Company which are both very close to the property. Overall we were highly satisfied with our experience at the condo. We would gladly come again! Mahalo 🤙

Great condo on the beach

We absolutely love staying in this condo. The balconies overlooked the beach and we could hear the ocean from our bed at night which made for a very pleasant and restful sleep I want to see.

Amazing!!!

Amazing view! You just can't get a better view.. We saw so many whales and some spinner dolphins. Property was clean, people were friendly and our stay was just amazing. We went to relax and that is what we did. This is the best property to just relax and enjoy the scenery.

Beautiful condo and location!

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! Perfect for our family of 6! The Condo was very nice and clean. The many windows gave us amazing views of the ocean. It was right next to the beach, so it was very convenient to go out to the beach whenever we wanted. The location was great! We weren't far from Lahaina town, the grocery store and restaurants! Unfortunately the restaurant at the property was closed, probably due to Covid, but that's no fault of the owner. We would definitely stay here again!
