Came out for my wife's birthday and had our 2 kids, who loved the beach and the pools on the property. We were very impressed with the condo, which had amazing views. The room pictures really didn't do it justice. Would gladly stay here again in the future. Mahalo!

Amazing Location - Kahana344 Needs Updating

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location & large two-bedroom unit is highly desirable. But unit 344 needs to replace/repair ALL of the many sliding & pocket doors. Also the outdoor furniture is old. Time to invest if you want $600/night.

Disappointed

The condo is nicely decorated and has a killer view - except for afternoon hours when the direct sun drove us out. Window coverings that could have helped were mostly inoperable. Kitchen and bath cabinetry is old and failing. The deck floor and chairs had more than one generation of bird poop.

The Million dollar view

It was all about the view. The owner has two swivel chairs placed right at the front window. If we weren’t on the beach or the pool we were in those chairs. The new flooring was so much better than carpeting. The kitchen was fully equipped and there were great beach towels and soft bedroom towels. There were fans for extra comfort. Evette from Sullivan Properties was amazing. She greeted us when got to the condo and walked us through it. On our next trip to Maui I will call her direct to help us plan for the vacation. She was so friendly and helpful.

View is spectacular. The unit needs upgrading

The view was amazing. Unfortunately the rugs were dirty, and one was dangerous. We had to move it so wouldn’t trip on it. It didn’t stay flat. The blinds are missing quite a few and others kept falling out. I called the manager’s numbers left a message but never got a call back. I was surprised to see that we had to strip the beds and pile up the towels before we left. I have never had to do that before.

Disappointed in the Condition and Cleanliness

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had to wait to get the room finished by housekeeping; the unit was in need of refurbishing, threadbare couch, blinds in living room were broken; range/stove breaker wasn't on; TV system was very complicated-- football playoffs unavailable--took 3 days to get help for that; refrigerator had mold and they cleaned it with fabioso, and the smell in the fridge was "cleaning" fluid residue; very disapponted. We owned a time share at Sands of Kahana for over 10 yrs and never had anything like this...Sullivan Properties was the caretaker, but owner needs to replace and refurbish at the least; cabinet drawers were broken as well.

Beautiful Views

If you're looking for a quiet complex with amazing views (if you book ocean front), this is for you. We booked this unit knowing my elderly mother would want to sit on the deck most of the time. The unit is roomy but very dated and was very dirty. The ceiling fans had tons of dust on them and my pillow case was dirty not stained. Lots of dust and sand under the beds etc. We were missing a top sheet and when I called to ask for one I was so rudely treated by the agent I was shocked. "what kind of sheet? twin? queen? fitted?" she was snippy and never let me finish my sentence. I also asked for a fan as this unit is not air conditioned and she went off on me about how she can't just pass out fans. When she realized we didn't have what we should, she sent one over. The guy who brought it over was very nice!. This was the same lady that I called the day we arrived asking how soon we would be able to get in as we arrived a couple of hours early. Again, VERY rude and condescending! As if I should know they are booked back to back etc. If you are the owner of this property I would seriously consider switching management companies. We won't book here again simply because of their rudeness and that the unit needs at minimum a new couch and blinds. Lastly the security people were also super intense over very little.

Oceanfront in Kahana!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: What a lovely way to fall asleep, listening to the sound of the crashing waves! Meals on the lanai had the best view ever! We watched whales 🐋 daily! Condo is very spacious. The pool is heated and there’s a hot tub. There are lounge chairs on the beach for guest use. There are plenty of gas barbecues and restaurant on site. They only give you 3 rolls of TP for 2 weeks, so shop accordingly. There is not a cooler or beach chairs to take to enjoy other beaches. This condo was the sparsest I’ve seen re: spices for cooking (Not even any pepper). But the views and size are worth it!

We found the condo to be very spacious and accommodating and even better than the photos. We would absolutely stay here again! The only thing we didn’t love was housekeeping calling multiple times at 8:15am the day of checkout after we had already confirmed our 11am checkout the day prior.

Sands of Kahana

It is beautiful apartment with a wonderful view and sound of waves. Rugs and furniture are a little worn out but it is still nice and clean.

Paradise

The absolute perfect spot in Maui! Will definitely stay here again! Beautiful sandy beach, heated pool, on-site bar/restaurant. Walking distance to McDonald’s and other restaurants. Walking distance to small grocery store. Great overall experience. Oh and you can rent paddle boards and scuba stuff too.

A most restful and relaxing Maui vacation!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This two bedroom two bath home was perfect for our family stay in paradise. We fell asleep to the sounds of the waves crashing over the shore each night and woke up to the same. I slept a like a baby! There is no air which wasn’t a problem - we adjusted to that after a day. Plenty of fans and a nice cross breeze make it quite comfortable. The views of Molokai and Lanai were incredible, as were the sunsets each evening. This was the most perfect home away from home, and I will make sure to get this same unit next time we visit. The resort as a whole was great. The restaurant was nice and easy for nights we didn’t want to go off site. The pool is heated and comfortable and perfect for a dip after spending time in the ocean. I didn’t use them but my husband and daughter were glad they had water shoes. Also some really good snorkeling from the shore here so bring gear. You can also rent paddleboards and many people enjoyed these as well!Don’t hesitate to hook this amazing home.

We lovebeing right on the beach and the view can't be beat! We also love the Beach House for convenience and good food.However, the unit 344 needs updating. The kitchencupboards are tired along with the appliances.The window coverings were worn and broken. Carpetwas old and soiled. Dishes and utinsils were a realmissmash of odds and ends. The couch is tired andstained and throw pillows should just be thrown out.

Beautiful view in spacious condo

Our family had a lovely time in this Sands of Kahana unit. Spacious for our family, the lanai overlooking the pacific was the highlight. Easy access to all we wanted to do. Beach front (rather than rocky) was a major plus!

Great Christmas stay right on beach!

My husband and I spent two full weeks at this lovely property. We’re wondering if we’ll need to get a sound machine for waves, as our bedroom was directly over the beach and we slept each night hearing the waves crash to shore. This was a perfect property for us, and it had everything we needed, plus easy driving access to everywhere we wanted to visit. We’ll miss our beautiful sunsets either swimming off the beach, or sipping wine on the lani!
