Would have like to have it cleaner in the kitchen … we washed all the dishes and pots and pans we needed
The handle of the dishwasher was coming out all the time !

Best Vacation House
This was a perfect stay, even more beautiful than the photos. There was tons of space, and every amenity you could need for cooking or heading to the beach. Excellent communication with the hosts. I would stay here again on a future trip.

Double Happy with Double Happiness

Perfect for wedding
I rented this house for my son’s wedding over Labor Day weekend. There were 10 of us staying there … plenty of space for all and great location. The house is very well equipped. I had a group over for dinner one night and I didn’t need to bring a thing. There was a slow cooker, tons of pots and pans and dishes/silverware. I would definitely stay here again!

Lovely Sconset home
Lovely quiet location in walking distance of Sconset center and beach. House was lovely and very well stocked ( kitchen and beach gear and everything else). Super clean. Owner was quickly responsive.

Perfect spot for multiple families and ages
My sons and their young families were able to do multiple simple activities from this property: ride bikes safely around Sconset, Life Guard housing, and Sankaty lighthouse; walk to Sconset market for groceries, ice cream cones; easy pick up for liquor & wine, sandwiches for picnics; stroll to Summerhouse for dinner and cocktails; surf cast off Sconset beach; catch bus to Town; walk Cliff Walk; go to playground; easy trip to nearby golf course; short trip to Quidnet.

Family Reunion at Double Happiness.
The outdoor yard space with hedged in area and the large deck were the highlight. Great proximity to the charming town Safe area for biking and walking. The home was large and lots of natural light. Kitchen was well stocked for large group. Beach equipment, towels, toys etc. were all there. Upstairs bathrooms were nicely updated.

Fantastic! We had a blast!
Great home, Great space, Great location! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We had 10 guests. 5 adults, 4 kiddos and a baby. it was plenty of space for all of us. The location was close that the kids could ride bikes to get ice cream at the market or head to the playground. The owner was very accommodating.

Wonderful Stay in Sconset
Our stay at Double Happiness was fantastic! We arrived to find lovely fresh flowers and Melissa was a totally responsive, helpful host. Such a beautiful, spacious, clean home. A pleasant walk to everything in Sconset. Beds are very comfortable and bathrooms are nicely renovated. Kitchen is modern and well stocked with all you might need for meals and drinks. Lots of chairs, games and towels for the beach. The deck was lined by gorgeous bright blue hydrangeas, and we loved starting and ending the day on the couches there. Hope to stay again!

Home Away From Home in Siasconset Neighborhood
Double Happiness is perfectly located a short walk from the Siasconset Center and from the Bluff Walk, and slightly longer walks to Low Beach where the gray seals gather this time of year and Sankaty Lighthouse. As cyclists, we also loved being close to entrances to the Milestone and Poplis bike paths.
It feels as if you're staying in someone's home with lots of books and original art; and it's very comfortable, with everything you need for cooking, grilling, beach visits, ...
The owners are very helpful, live close by, and are available if you need them or have questions -- and they warmly agreed to our entire menagerie also being guests!

A perfect house for a group
Melissa and John were amazing hosts. The booking process was smooth and they were even flexible given the Pandemic. The check in process was smooth, and they had left loads of information for us for when we arrived. The house itself is stunning - big (can easily fit 5-6 couples), perfectly decorated, great mix of indoor and outdoor space. Well located in sconset a 10 min walk to town and the beach. Nice quiet getaway spot near to everything.
We will surely be staying here again!

Just perfect!
What a fantastic stay at Double Happiness in Sconset. The neighborhood is fantastic and the house, as promised, is within close proximity to the historic village, Bluff Walk and beach. Melissa is a terrific host and her home is just stunning - it’s wonderfully appointed with all that you need for a fantastic getaway with friends and it’s spacious enough so everyone had space to spread out and be comfortable (we were a party of 9, including two kids and a dog). We’re already talking about returning next summer.... it’s a beautiful spot and will not disappoint. Thank you, Melissa, for a wonderful stay!

Excellent vacation!
We have been vacationing on Nantucket for many years and have a lot of rental experience. This was by far the best overall experience. Great communication with the owner before, during, and after our stay. Melissa is extremely accommodating and pleasant to deal with. Above and beyond cleaning for COVID. The house is STUNNING - like vacationing in an art galley near the beach. But also very comfortable and cozy. We had three families with plenty of room, inside and outside. Everything is provided for you (linens, towels, beach gear, etc.) Great chef's kitchen and grill for making huge family meals with local ingredients. We walked, biked, and drove to town and the beach every day. 'Sconset is a magical part of an already magical island and this house is perfect for families, couples, and/or a group of friends!
