Most of my friends are too young to have a clue what house this is in Nairobi , but for me as a fan of the book and movie it was cool to visit at the base of the Ngong hills. Have a guess whos house it was?
Feeding a giraffe from the deck off my room at Giraffe Manor in Nairobi last October. It has been a pretty rough week but remembering this experience still brings a smile to my face, I blog about my travels at Circlingthebucketlist.com .
Yesterday I saw Time magazine had listed its 100 places to go in 2018 and I feel incredibly lucky to have been to two of them. The first is Giraffe manor and here is a picture from my breakfast table. This could be a really cute place, but it is in desperate need of an upgrade in the bathrooms and grounds. The beds are extremely firm. Staff was great.

We also enjoy the opportunity to stay at the Wildebeest Eco Camp. It is like being at a resort without leaving Nairobi. We love the tents and the grounds. The experience is refreshing, and the staff are great.
