Not Great For Kids But a Decent Budget Hotel

I'll start off by saying the reason that I don't think it's that great for kids is that both nights I was there there were people smoking weed at the 7th floor pool. If my kids weren't there I wouldn't care that much about that but with kids around... THE ROOM: Both beds were soft and clean. The pillows were OK. The kitchen is very well stocked with whatever you could need to cook nearly any meal. The balcony is small and had only 2 chairs. It's pretty cramped for more than 2 people out there. THE HOTEL: The elevators are incredibly slow. You're better off taking the stairs even from higher floors. During checkout we literally waited 30 minutes with our cart for an elevator but never got one that had room for us and our cart. We wound up carrying the bags down the stairs instead of waiting. The hallways (at least on the 7th floor) smelled AWFUL. Not the biggest deal but just be aware. The pools are decent. Very large outdoor hot tub on the ground floor. The kid's splash area has a bunch of cool stuff that my kid enjoyed. The lazy river is pretty weak compared to similar resorts. The outdoor pool has a bar area that had pretty good mixed drinks. The 7th floor of the hotel also has an outdoor jacuzzi and an indoor heated pool. They seemed fine, we didn't use them due to the previously mentioned weed smoking / having kids with us. Also on the 7th floor is a very large deck with hammocks and chairs. This area is a great place to relax or sun during the day. That said I don't think a lot of people would feel comfortable out there after the sun goes down. There are absolutely no lights, it's totally pitch black out there. The hotel has an arcade with overpriced games, but it is very convenient. They even have skee ball which is a big plus in my book. The parking situation is pretty bad. If you are trying to park after 6pm it's really not even worth it to attempt to park in the main garage. The biggest reason the parking situation is bad is that if you go all the way to the top without finding a parking spot then you are just stuck. There is no turn around area. I witnessed someone in a large jeep do what I can only describe as a 75 point turn to get his car turned around to get back out. I definitely will not be going back as I believe there are other resorts in the same price range that are cleaner and have better amenities. If they were MUCH cheaper than the competition I might would give them another shot
