VRBO should require new pics YEARLY! It’s not what is in the pictures. To start, we arrived about 40 min prior to check in & were advised by the front desk that our room was ready. We entered and I immediately notified, via text, the host of the unit that the condo was NOT clean. There was sand on the floors, dirt & BLOOD stains on mattress cover, crumbs in couch, the tub was grimy, filth behind Murphy bed, trash on bedroom floor, a sucker stuck to the floor. Pictures, were sent to the host. Very soon after, some guy shows up to “clean” and says this is our fault and the room would have been clean if we had waited til the proper check in time. He turns the blame on me, completely, despite the fact that I was told to proceed to my room.The Murphy bed/couch, had no linens or blankets. Housekeeping had to get those. When I asked for a fleece blanket the next day, I was told that I was already given 2. They never did bring a 3rd. Mind you, our room slept 6, so this shouldn’t have been an issue. The housekeeper was rude and the host never did respond to my respond to repeated requests for a phone call!This property had the filthiest pools/outdoor space of any hotel I’ve been to. You expect to see sand in/ around pools. However, it wasn’t just sand. There was a panty liner floating in the pool for a full day. The pool was loaded with sand. You could see the thick, white, filthy grime on the walls about the water line. It was like this all week. Disgusting!
