Loved Ocean Creek Plantation

Great condo! Very spacious for a family and friends. Loved the beautiful view of the beach. Landscaping was well kept on property and is a gated community. Very safe for family vacation. We enjoyed our stay, except for the check-in box. Was hard to open the box and was hard to see where the box was located. Need a new way of picking up key ! Would definitely stay here again!!

Love ocean creek resort

Ocean Creek is all around a great resort. Been staying there for vacation more that 10 years. Homeowners actually sent us a fruit bouquet and it was delicious. Thanks so much

Nice time! Great place!

Ocean Creek Plantation was very nice! Definitely well kept. The only problem was the check in. Had a hard time finding the box with the keys. Hard to open the box with the code. Definitely need a new way, was very frustrating. We loved the condo and the view of the beach. Is gated and had lots of security, so we felt safe there with the teenagers. Definitely will stay here again! Was close to everything!

Beware! Check in process is miserable! Very poorly communicated that you have to travel 20 minutes back and forth to pick up and drop off a key and parking passes. No office for key pick up. There is a code that was provided last minute for a lock box in a wall in strip center with packet containing key and pass. They charge a fee for late check out. Much easier to rent directly from the resort- no charge for early check in or late check out. The view is brat and location is good. But, not worth the confusion and inconvenience.

Fall in Myrtle Beach

The condo was lovely with a million dollar view of the ocean. Our family had a wonderful time here. Loved that all the bedrooms had own bathroom. Kitchen had everything you needed. Beds were comfy. Only negative was having to travel 20 minutes away to pick up packet with keys and guest passes. This was a huge inconvenience. Would stay here again

Some things left to be desired

Location and size of condo was amazing! Great view to the beach. You can actually hear the waves from the bedroom which was so peaceful to hear! Cleanliness could have def be improved on. The main doors were horrific to look at. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, thinking that perhaps it just looked like that due to old age. So, I grabbed a piece of cloth and wiped a portion of the door, sure enough, a lot of that gunk came right off. The fridge had some issues as well. No cold water in one of the bathrooms sink faucet.

Check in process and rental management company is awful

The place was alright for the most part but the rental management company, Vacasa, made the experience much worse. To access the property you have to pick up a packet from a lockbox 20 minutes from the condo that Vacasa manages. The packet includes a physical key to the condo door, parking passes, and pool passes. I called the day before our stay and spoke to 2 representatives, one named Deahvian, and both told me that I would be able to pick up the packet by 11am the day of check in so that I would be able to get through the front gate and park by the condo and use the pools and access the beach and wait for the room to be cleaned. When I got to the lockbox at 11am the packet wasn’t ready and no one was at the Vacasa office to speak to. I called Vacasa and after being on hold for 25 minutes I was told that I would have to wait until closer to 4pm to get the packet and was told I wouldn’t be able to even park at the condo because the front gate attendants are very strict and wouldn’t allow me onto the property without a parking pass. I had a 1 year old and 5 year old and my wife in the car and didn’t know what to do. Luckily my brother was staying in the same building, room 10B, & his room had a key pad on the door and his management comp mailed him the parking passes and pool passes a week before his check in so I parked my car at the grocery store across the street, left all of our stuff there and had my brother pick us up while we waited for our packet to be ready.
