We had a wonderful stay! It was a close walk to the beach. The house, furniture, and beds were very comfortable, and the decor was happy. Our host was very responsive. I’d gladly stay here again.

Very Nice House & Great Beach Location

The houses was perfect for our 11-person extended family group. Beach access was very close; easily walkable for everyone from grandparents to young children. And the amenities (water park, playground, basketball courts, etc) included with its Ocean Lakes location were a big plus. The house itself was very well appointed. All the appliances were newer. The owner war easy to communicate with.

Wonderful

My family and I spent a week at this property. You can't beat the location. Six houses from the ocean with ocean view in quiet area. Plenty of deck furniture for the whole family to enjoy the outside. Becky, the owner, was great to work with. Needs a thorough cleaning but that is no fault of the owner. Already making plans to stay here next year.

Relaxing location and easy access to the beach

Very nice home away from home. Great decor. Quiet location with a relaxing deck for unwinding. This was our first time staying at this home and 3rd stay at the Ocean Lakes Resort. This was my favorite home within Ocean Lakes. We hope to return again.

Great location off main path. Close to the beach just a quick walk. Only 2 downfalls were cleanliness which is of no fault to owner. Notified owner and cleaning people came back to fix the issue. And air conditioning was leaking in floor in one of the bathrooms causing a bit of a hazard. But I would stay here again, nice place.

The property itself is excellent, new looking, modern, great air conditioner, open and airy. We were disappointed in that we were given an incorrect keypad entry code to initially get in and it took a bit of time for us to contact the owner for the correct code. We were also disappointed that the cleaning group who were supposed to clean the unit before we got there and for which we had to pay an additional $350.00, did not show up until we had accessed and entered the unit, after which they performed a perfunctory cleaning. The bedding for all of the beds, and towels were left in large bags; the beds to be made up by ourselves as were the towels to be distributed; but then I guess that this is not unusual for the renters to have to make their own beds and distribute the towels on their own. All in all the unit was well supplied, but the main frying pan should be replaced as anything fried in it stuck terribly. We had a great stay in a very nice unit that was only two short blocks from the main beach area. The unit itself would get a 5 stars from me, and the service as noted.

NOT LIKE THE PICTURES & awful experience!

We stayed June 2024 with 5 kids and 6 adults. When we arrived after our 12.5 hour car ride we were unable to enter the house through the main door because it was unable to work properly. I then called, texted and FaceTimed Becky. After showing her it doesn’t work, she began giving me 4 other codes to put in to see if I was given the wrong one. No luck, and was just told not to lock it with the keypad and someone will come that day, or my husband can try and replace the batteries himself. They never showed that day, but I began to text her other things that were going wrong with the house. After an hour there my daughter stepped on a nail on the deck that was popped up. The shower head in the outside shower was torn completely off and not fixable. The door to the upstairs deck was broken so we could access it. There was dog poop on the deck, the master bedroom shower head was not working (it was very complicated and needs to have instructions written down to explain in the future), the main floors made our feet black and were never washed before we got there..as well as half the house was so dirty even though we had to pay a ridiculous cleaning fee. There was a dog there before us, hence the dog poop but also the main carpet in the living room smelled like dog pee so bad, that I wouldn’t allow any of the children to sit down and play in that area. Also, they have a ring camera on the front porch. That made us all very uncomfortable, knowing that they can watch us, and when I

The house was super clean with a perfect location and great layout for 3 families (2 who had kids). Becky was easy to reach and so nice, helpful, and accommodating for us with various travel schedules. We’re already planning a trip back!

Myrtle beach comfort

We have been coming to Ocean Lakes for over 25 years. This house was comfortable, roomy and well stocked. The owner was very accessible. There is lots of deck space and a short walk to the beach. We really enjoyed our stay.

House is cute and kitchen well equipped. Quiet street and house is steps to beach. We had a couple of issues but they were always resolved. House was locked when we arrived at designated time so we had to reach out to owner. There wasn't any meniton of linen bags in the listing so when we got there we used the sheets in the drawers and slept on them first night. Turns out there were unmarked bags for use in garage I didn't happen to notice. Saw them day 2 so spent next day washing everything we used and making beds again. A couple of roaches (aka palmetto bugs but still a roach, yuk) seen every night when flipping lights on. Dog poop on deck. Cleaners came back, they had missed it due to rain. Every issue was always resolved quickly (except linen hassle) and owers had speedy enough communication. Nothing they would have been able to control any differently.

Frequent Flyer at Ocean Lakes

My family and I have been coming here for 6 years and so far, this has been our favorite house. It was super clean and stocked with everything we could have needed. Just a short walking distance to the ocean and very quite at night. We spent a good a lot of time on the front porch which easily accommodated our group of 11. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely stay here again!

Was so excited about this stay with our family. Planned it for a year. This place was so dirty I had to clean it before we brought our things in. Filthy dirty....blood on bed and pillows, furniture has not been cleaned in who knows when, hair in all the bathrooms, showers do not drain, fridge and kitchen cabinets disgusting, I could go on an on. Over 5,000.cost..what an enormous disappointment. Advised host of some of these issues without even a reply. Do not do this to yourself unless you have low standards.
