Doctors Orders at Surfside Beach SC will cure all that ails you!

Long Bay Estates at Surfside Beach, SC is our favorite family beach location. It’s a quiet neighborhood with semi-private beach access between the town of Surfside Beach and Myrtle Beach State Park. Airport, restaurants, and any vacation worthy activities, attractions and entertainment you may be looking for are within 20 minutes. Doctors Orders, with 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms and open kitchen, dining, family space,and 2 oceanfront balconies is perfect for any gathering. We’ve rented the same house 2 years in a row and are already talking about a return trip. Highly recommend!

Great setup on a quiet stretch of beach

Check in was smooth. We really enjoyed the ocean views and tables out on the balcony. Communication was great! Would definitely recommend Dr’s Orders to a friend!

Beach Vacation

Location on a private beach was perfect. We had the beach in front of the house almost to ourselves. We chose this house because of the 6 beds/6bathrooms to accomodate the 2 families staying there. Loved the back porch overlooking the ocean. We were a little disappointed the pool was not ready but we were staying there a little early in the year, mid-April.

The accommodations were very nice and as advertised. Could use beach chairs. A small investment but nice to have on premises. Great location and access to beach. House next door being renovated with work starting before 8 am. Not ideal.

College friends reunion

A beautiful duplex that is perfect for large groups. The decks make for incredible views of the ocean and the location is awesome! Having its own pool and being on the ocean made this the perfect setting for old friends to gather. I high recommend this place. The owner was super nice and helpful.

Family women’s trip!

Best overall beach accommodations we’ve had in 25 years of SC beaches! Pristine beach just steps from the door…great decks…great kitchen…comfortable furnishings and room to gather our large group for eating, visiting, art projects, family games etc. Enjoyed having the pool as well as the beach.

Hackers Open

My family does a golf trip every year. We stayed at this property. It is fantastic. Perfect location on the beach. House was clean and perfect for our needs. It is equipped with everything you would need for a great trip. Pool was great, and plenty of parking. Highly recommend this property. Dwight

Perfect location!

This house has the perfect location! We could easily get to the more populated touristy areas but then came home to our own quiet beach. It was great! There were some small things in the house that needed fixing but it didn’t get in the way of us having a wonderful time. The property manager was easy to get ahold of and attempted to have issues fixed in a timely manner (no matter how minor they were). We would definitely stay here again!

Beach haven

We really enjoyed our stay. The owner was very responsive to any problems encountered. (Very minor things). We loved being on the porches and the beach was GREAT, not crowded at all because of the residential area the house is in. The large crowd of people were close, but not in our space. It was nice having 6 bathrooms-1 for each bedroom. If you can make the beds work, this is for you.

Gorgeous oceanfront property

Our family group of 11 (10 adults and 1 child) truly enjoyed our time in this rental. There was plenty of room for all of us. We really liked that each bedroom had its own bathroom. The views from the lower and upper decks were beautiful! The property was in a quiet neighborhood but just a very short drive to local restaurants and shops. Our only recommendation that could make this rental any better, is more comfortable mattresses (some beds were rock hard and some were wore out with the centers dipping and sounded like popcorn popping every time we sat on them or barely moved while lying on them). We would definitely recommend this rental! It was very clean and had everything we needed!

Amazing house on the Ocean!

We had a great time at this house for our annual golf trip. Plenty of room for us all and the best view of any house we have rented. Would highly recommend staying here to anyone I know. Looking forward to coming back!

This is not a Cold Weather House

We enjoyed our stay but for the price we paid, we would expected a better property. The house could be better maintained. We stayed during a cold snap and the house heating system is very uneven. While some rooms were warm most where barley heated. We had the heat set on 75 and the house never got above 69. They have little signs above the thermostats stating never to set them under 70. The heating system is not able to get the house above 70, The living room was not usable without a sweater or blankets. This is a shame because it was our main meeting place in the house. You can feel the cold air coming through the front door and the sliding door does not retain heat. This could be easily resolved by weather stripping the front door and having a curtain or retractable shade over the sliding doors and window. The TV's were all old and need to be upgraded. $200 Walmart TV's would have been better. The shower heads look like they came with the house. That is a shame, because you can see they have taken time to upgrade other features in the house. If you have anyone who is not comfortable with steps, the best thing is to used the stairs in the back of the house. My 83 year old mother hand no problem going up and down them. Bottom line, would I rent again? Yes during the warmer months, but a big NO during the winter. This is a great house in a great neighborhood. I just wished they would have resolved some of these small issues to make it a 5 start rental.

Beautiful house

This was a beautiful house. Very convenient all around for 4 families and our softball daughters. Close to the fields but felt like we were at a resort. Enough space for us all. Maureen was super responsive to all my questions. Amazing views from the porch including tje view of horses on the beach. I would most certainly rent this house again.

Family celebrating 60!

Home was perfect for 4 couples celebrating one’s 60th Birthday! Loved being right on the beach for morning walks! Central location to everything! Ian came in 3 weeks before our arrival so the pool was unusable! Thanks for the memories❤️🍷
