We love the location we stayed here 2yrs ago and loved the beach was not crowded! Gary is always a great communicator and the condo was available upon arrival even though we were early! I love that we can leave things there and come back to them 2yrs later. Our 2nd time staying here and loved it both times! Thanks so much for another great stay!

This is our 2nd time staying at The Island Vista and the first time staying at Gary’s condo. The condo is super spacious, clean, and has everything you could need! And the beds are SUPER comfortable! Gary is an excellent host! He is available for anything you need and is kind and pleasant to communicate with. He sends lots of helpful information, tips, and recommendations before your trip, so you are ready the moment you get there. Initially I was a little concerned that the view would be too obstructed because of the palm trees. While there is some obstruction as the pictures depict, there is more ocean view than I thought there would be! The pictures, while extremely accurate, don’t truly show how beautiful the place and the view is. Island Vista is such a great place to stay! Even when it was “busy” at the pools, hot tubs, and beach, it never felt overcrowded. There was plenty of space and it is such a wonderful resort to relax at. Would 100% recommend!!

Beautiful condo and property. My family and I had a great time here. The condo, pools, and beach are all next to each other which was great for us and anyone with young children. Beach is also not too crowded here. The condo was clean and spacious. Island Vista is in a great location as well. Very close to a lot of restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. Would absolutely recommend this condo to anyone looking to stay at Myrtle Beach!

Beautiful and Relaxing

The owner Gary made sure that we had all of the information we needed for our stay. The home is absolutely beautiful and located on the second floor, which is very convenient. The resort I don’t think could be more relaxing and well organized. We had one of the most relaxing family vacations we’ve ever had. We cannot wait to book again.

Family trip

This condo is in a perfect location and the beach access was definitely a plus!!! Overall the condo was clean and we had a few hiccups due to the prior renters in the beginning however the host was amazing and took care of the issues very promptly. There were 5 of us (2 adults and 3 kiddos 21, 19 & 15) and we had plenty of space to spread out. The balcony was great and I enjoyed my coffee and book out there every morning while I took in the sounds and views of the ocean. We took advantage of the full kitchen having breakfast and lunch in and there are plenty of grocery stores to get what you might need. If we visited again, we would for sure reach out to stay here again!!

Newly Renovated 3 Bedroom Oceanfront Island Vista Gem

We had a great time on our vacation at the Island Vista. The resort was very nice, staff was friendly and helpful. The condo we stayed in was great, had plenty of room for all of us, and everything we needed during our stay, couldn't have asked for a better place. The owner's (Gary & Lisa) were amazing to deal with, we had a small issue when we arrived. Gary was very responsive, and had it fixed within the hour of our arrival. We would definitely stay there again!

Condo was in a great location, convenient to grocery stores, well stocked kitchen, new comfortable furniture, comfortable beds. Would stay again. Quick response from the hosts. Loved the captains chairs on the deck.

Just Perfect

Island Vista was exactly the spot we wanted. Such a quiet part of the beach and the pools were perfect for kids of all ages. The unit was clean and the beds were amazing!! I would recommend Island Vista and this unit all day.

Spring Getaway April 2025

We have stayed at Island Vista before and really love the resort, the amenities and the proximity to many great locations. The condo was very roomy and had a wonderful view of the ocean. The furnishings and cleanliness of the condo was very nice. Some drawbacks on this specific room: The location of the room and the door is less than 6 feet away from the elevator and you can hear the ding each time someone gets on it from the two bedrooms that face the main hallwayThe hot water takes around 3-5 minutes to get warm. We contacted the owner who indicated there were some repairs that were to have been made the week prior that must not have been completed. There is no secured internet in the room. The only option is the resort WiFi which is not secured. The only smart TV in the condo is in the living room. The other TVs have basic cable only. The slider on the balcony does not lock currently. The owner says this happens every few years and the normal prep for busy season hasn’t occurred yet. Lastly if you have stayed at the resort before and rented through the resort, you are familiar with the pool towels that the resort provides. This service is not available for anyone that rents through VRBO so you will need to bring your pool and beach towels with you.

Another perfect week at Island Vista

Property is in the perfect location. Close to everything, but a nearly private beach because it’s located in a mostly residential area. Gary was great with the communication, and always so fast to respond to my questions. The updates to this unit are beautiful. We’ve stayed all over this resort, and this one was awesome.

We used to go to Myrtle Beach all the time. It’s been 10 years since the last time and the place we used to stay at wasn’t the same from what we heard. So my wife found Island Vista. The owners were very personable, they reached out to us and were responsive to all our questions. In the end, it felt like we were staying with family. It was a beautiful place!

Great place to relax

Everything was as described, location was close to everything, host was so very helpful with suggestions on food and shopping, pools and grounds were nice and kept up with well, on site restaurant had great breakfast and lunch items, only complaints would be that a very few of the staff were not exactly pleasant and parking is at a premium almost always and if you have a large vehicle, flip side of that was that everyone parking was very patient and courteous, three thumbs up to the host it was a great get away from everything

4th of July 2024 week

Your place had everything, Hot tub, 3 pools 2 outside, 1 inside with a lazy river. Every night tiki bar had music; the tiki bar had excellent sandwiches and drinks. Never had to go back up to the room for anything, The beach was footsteps away and the view was outstanding. would like to come back next 4th of July. What a great week, Thank you Larry, Sue, Kevin, Liz, Oliver, Tessa, Scott & Dafne.

Excellent condo

We loved this condo and all it offered! This property is perfect for a family. We had 7 people total with 2 being children and never felt cramped or crowded. There was everything we needed in the kitchen. Beds were comfy. The pools and grounds were kept tidy. The elevator and parking were both extremely convenient. Gary was responsive to emails and texts from before the trip to checking out. We hope to visit again.

Our stay was wonderful. We bring our grandkids on vacation every year. The condo was one of the best we have ever stayed in. We look forward to coming again. The owner was very responsive and answered all questions quickly.
