We were there for our daughter's wedding, at Pawleys Plantation Golf & Country Club. We wanted to be close to the venue and this was a perfect spot. House was spacious and beautifully decorated. The morning sunrise view from the screened in porch, was a great way to start the day.

Perfect Weekend

Stayed at the house while visiting for a weekend wedding. Son-in-law enjoyed a round of golf Saturday morning. Beautiful neighborhood.

The location is great. The space is great and in a quiet peaceful setting. Management company was very responsive when called. Only downside is it would be nice to be able to open the windows and have screens to get fresh air in the unit.

Perfect for adult get away

We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Very quiet and plenty of things around. We were unable to shower in one of the bathrooms because no shower head. We just shared the other bathrooms.

Peaceful and relaxing

My family was looking for a quiet stay away from busy Myrtle beach, but still in SC, which allowed a pet. This turned out to be perfect for us. Although we weren't on the beach, it was plenty close to get to within about 10 minute drive. The unit is beautiful in a quiet community. We appreciated the back porch, which was screened in to just sit and talk, enjoy the morning coffee or just watch people playing golf. The trees were singing with all type of song bird morning and evening. The roads in the area are limited to 25 mph, and most drivers abide by that, which makes a walk with the dog refreshing. There are ponds in the area, which do host alligators and some are very large, so stay away from waters edge. I know my review gives 4 star above for cleanliness and on the whole it was clean, however there were a couple maintenance concerns which i did address with Peace Vacations. One is the rear screen porch door handle did not turn properly to open and close the door. Another was that the shower door in the master bathroom would not close completely which could allow some water to splash out to the floor and the final concern was that caulk inside the master shower had some larger cracks in it. A maintenance person did respond there according to my wife, while I was out, and lubricated the porch handle and it worked better. The caulk would need to be addressed after our stay due to cure time. Overall it was a really pleasant stay and we would come again.

Pawley's Island Experience

My wife and I have stayed at several places on or around Pawley's Island. This is one of the best. Comfortable beds, spacious living area, quiet, complete kitchen with all the necessaries. Plenty of silverware, dishes, pots and pans. Nice dining area. What more could you want.

Unit Needs to be Sanitized

This was the worst experience ever with a VRBO property...this property should not be listed until they resolve the mold issues. There was mold everywhere in the bathrooms and this makes the unit very dangerous and un-rentable. The mgt group at least tried to fix the issue, but a great deal more needs to be done to eliminate a mold situation before this unit should ever be rented again.

Pawley's Plantation is a nice place, the security people at the front gate were extremely friendly.

The golf course and club house are very nice. The neighbors are very friendly.

February get-away from the cold

Location was great! We really enjoyed our stay. The Condo was nice and neat, good layout...we loved the screened porch area...kitchen could use some essentials, like some spices, etc. We golfed often and beach was a 10 min. drive. Bathrooms need to be updated.

Great neighborhood, needs a little updating.

Quiet, lovely neighborhood with good places to walk and run. This unit needs a little TLC, especially the master bath. The kitchen is a bit wonky but worked okay for quick breakfasts and sandwich making. Enjoyed our stay.

Great place

Great place to stay just 4.5 miles from the beach and right on the golf course! The condo was very clean and had been recently updated. The bathrooms had older tile, tubs and shower stalls but they were functional and very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and serve meals. Great place to stay in a quiet and safe community! Would definitely stay there again.

Great location and layout.

Great property to stay at. It was in a great location and very clean. It was well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. A couple of board games were great for the family and a wonderful selection of books. The property management company was so easy to work with and had great communication so our check in was seamless even though we came in late. Close to great restaurants, golf, and access to the beach. I would highly recommend renting this property.

Mold and mildew.

We rented this house because it is pup friendly. My daughter and myself were visiting to have dinner at mine and my husband’s favorite restaurant to celebrate his birthday. He passed away last year. My daughter arrived the night before I did, getting the key was apparently tricky. The house was clean except for one very large problem. The middle (guest) bathroom was peppered in mold and there was water droplets everywhere. The toilet didn’t work either. Maintenance came to check it out, and had to climb the drop down stairs in the ceiling. When the poor guy reached the top,the whole entire set of steps and casing came unhinged. The stairs themselves swung down and back up missing my face by about an inch. If I hadn’t moved, my face/head would have been impaled. We all agreed to close off that particular bathroom until we left because it would have been another entire day of our stay with workers in the house. We only had 3 days and one was already taken up by maintenance/management. By the time we left about 1/2 the house smelled so bad from mold and mildew it was about making me sick. Management had said they would do something for us. They actually paid for our dinner, but I got the idea they were going offer more, like a few days next year at one of their properties. So far I have heard nothing from them about that. Management is very nice, but I’m really wondering if they will actually make this right. I’m also wondering if they fixed the mold problem, it was pretty bad. The guest bathroom is in need of some extensive work and so is the attic so this doesn’t happen again.

We rented this property because our son was getting married at Pawleys Plantation. The location was very convenient to the venue and everything was exactly as described. I would highly recommend the unit.
