Last minute family trip

Had a family emergency and needed a affordable place to lay our heads, place was clean, staff friendly. Not the most luxurious ocean front hotel, but fully functional and economical. Beach views were very nice, indoor pool could use a good once over. But overall satisfactory stay.

The air conditioner was horrible

We contacted maintenance and he came up with a blow dryer to get all the frost off the old unit. It took about 2 hours for that. The room never got cooler than about 78...we were told all the units were the same. We had to buy 2 fans just to be able to sleep comfortably. Management was suppose to reach out to us in the morning, but never did. I realized that I had to suck it up for 4 days. Would never stay again

Loved the option for indoor/outdoor pool and hot tubs. Close to the beach, I would definitely stay again. No problems at all.

Unpleasant

First appearance was decent. Despite pictures not totally matching the room, it was a doable stay, so we thought. Mildew in the corners where the ceiling meets the wall. Bathroom door was hard to open past half way. Once we got settled in is when everything started to change. Roaches and fleas started coming out. We left early due to them. We could not take it any longer and hoping we didn’t bring any back home with us. Would not reccomend to any of my friends or family.

Great, the rooms were clean and stocked. Staff very friendly and helpful. Our keys wouldn't work, the older gentleman was kind and quick to help. I didn't catch his name.

Needs some updating and cleaning

When we got into our room there was a very strong odor of the cleaning solution used. It was so strong that it agitated our eyes to the point we had to open the doors to get a breeze to come through to air it out. The floor was sticky to the touch as if the solution used had not been diluted with water. When I received a text asking how our room was, I had indicated the above and they thanked us for the feedback and no explanation given. We then started to get ready for bed and a large cockroach came running out of the bathroom. I took a picture and texted it to the number asking me how my room was. They responded by thanking us for sending it and they let the local nanager know. They then told us it was a palmetto bug (cockroach with a nicer name) and they are active this time of year. Unfortunately, we never heard from anyone and we then slept with the bathroom and kitchen lights on both nights which does not make for a comfortable sleep being so bright. There were always people going around cleaning the pool area etc. I just think the property needs to be updated and a proper cleaning.

Stay at a Ocean Park

Staff was friendly, check in was easy. Room was okay - just as any hotel. Nothing to brag about. Smelled terrible in hall ways, wasn’t clean. Vending machines out of order. Someone puked in hot tub and they didn’t properly clean it. Should of looked at reviews before booking. Won’t rebook here.

Repairs/updates necessary…

The hot/cold shower exchange cartridge needed to be replaced. Water temp went from scorching hot to freezing cold without me touching the shower knob. Maintenance guy came twice but still didn’t fix the problem. Very frustrating!!! Sliding glass door latch got stuck several times. Maintenance checked it but still didn’t work. Stovetop didn’t work properly. Apparently it hadn’t been plugged in completely. Mattresses were very uncomfortable, very saggy on both sides. Overall, my stay was good but the condo could use some good cleaning and updating.

Fun at Myrtle Beach

This was our first trip to Myrtle Beach and we loved it. It was wonderful to wake up to the ocean outside of our window. I was worried that we might be too crowded with 4 adults and 2 dogs but it was fine. The resort was very pet friendly which gave us peace of mind when traveling with our dogs. I wish the doggie daycare was open later than 5:00. We had wanted to do a day trip to Charleston but we were worried that we wouldn't be back in time to get our dogs. But that was OK, we still found plenty to do. We ran into a few minor problems but the staff was very responsive. They were, literally, at our door within 5 minutes of our calling. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

The location is great, steps to the sandy beach. Very nice pool and hot tub area. Only complaints are the beds needs updating. Mattresses and pillows are very uncomfortable and the shower had very little pressure. Overall ok place

Great off season stay

Myself, my mom and my teenage daughter with my small dog stayed for a quick getaway before Christmas. For being pet friendly the accommodations were very clean! The small items provided for the dog at check in were a great touch. The room had some cosmetic defects that could have been repaired but overall if was lovely. The pool, hit, tubs, beach access, and location were all great. The only negative was that housekeeping was waiting outside our door 40 mins before checkout as we were packing the car. This made me feel very rushed and because of that I left behind a couple things that I normally would have caught during a once over before checking out.
