Moldy room

Supposed to stay three nights had to leave after the first night because it was mold in the room, and my grand baby’s oxygen level went down and her heart rate went up and cried all night long. She’s highly allergic to mold they only refunded one night and would not give me a full refund. Easter weekend nowhere else to stay. And they totally messed up our entire weekend. Not a good Part of town . Myrtle Beach is called Dirty Myrtle for a reason.

First time

The property was VERY VERY clean, the room was well supplied except for only one hand towel. Most of the staff was friendly. But when getting fresh towels, I asked for one more hand towel. I was told firmly, boldly and with out hesitation....NO...end of conversation. It as the first time I used vrbo. That part of the doesn't get good marks. I will probably never use that service again.

Long weekend

We got in on Friday and left Monday. It was pretty clean. Som of the sheets had faint yellow stains. Not horrible though. Slept souundly. Clean towels and washcloths. Overall would rate a solid 4.

Pets stay

We were disappointed with our room as it appeared to have mold on the floor near the corner of the tub. Probably due to the shower curtain not being appropriate for the shower/tub. Also, whoever put the plumbing in forgot to add the traps for the sink, kitchen sink, and tub. When the room next door used their bathroom/kitchen the sewer smell came up through our drains and made our entire room smell like sewer. When we asked about it, they wanted to send maintenance up. We ended up saying no because we weren't going to be in the room and had already placed all of our things in the room. In addition, there isn't a safe place for pets to do go to the bathroom. The carpeted area is small and if your dog is like ours, he doesn't go on carpet. The park we were directed to is not a safe place to be in the dark and it appears that a homeless person might use it to sleep at night. Pillows, grocery cart, etc. left in the bushes on the trail to the grassy area. If this is a place that is "pet friendly" why isn't there a suitable place for pets to use the bathroom? There was a nice grassy area with signs all over stating pets not allowed, but the desk person said it was ok, but the person cleaning the pool said no and told us not to let our dog on the grass. NO ONE, NOT ONE PERSON used that grass the entire time we were there. We are also still waiting for the receipt that the desk person said she couldn't provide, but said would be emailed at the 10 a.m. check out.

Pictures looked a lot better then what it was

Very dated room , pictures not even close to what it was , 2 stars for cleanines ( dirty floors and more ) pools dirty holes in ceiling, hot tub broke twice , a plus is it's pet friendly overall wouldn't book again

Bad experience

I am a VRBO renter for most of my trips and have never complained, never. During the trip a college Frat party took place over the weekend. The students stayed in rooms next to me and also occupied the sauna located right below our window. These parties included loud music, smoking and drinking. Girls were lifting there shirts and the making out was everywhere. I know it was a college party and that's ok just wish it would have quitted down earlier than it did or move it to a bar somewhere.

It was ok.

We loved the proximity to the beach. The view from our room was amazing. I was disappointed with the overall cleanliness of the property, our room and the community areas were just ok. Overall, we enjoyed our time at Ocean Park.

Don’t stay here

Looked at a full dumpster the whole stay. Staff very unfriendly (except for the lady who checked us in). Too many signs telling you what you can’t do, felt like you were in jail or something

The stay was wonderful

The stay was wonderful the property' was very quiet and the staff very friendly. The only thing i would suggest is a frying pan and pot holders for the kitchen. Also the tub has a drip to it

Ocean Park

Other than the bug on my pillow the place is fantastic. I think it may have been a tick, which tells me the people before me probably had a dog. I didn’t even mention it to anyone. Didn’t bother me too much really. I love it. The view from my balcony was beautiful. I would stay again. I own a dog so no worries.

The room was “tight” and would have be nicer if it was a tad bigger. The upgrades were done by novice contractors that don’t even own a caulking gun. Wi-fi was temperamental and kept throwing us off or running slow. There were scum marks in the bathtub when we checked in, and crumbs on the floor near the head of the bed. We travel with pets, so we’re restricted on what hotels we can stay in. Because of that, I’d still consider staying here again if it was priced right compared to comparable hotels, but I wouldn’t recommend it otherwise.
