We enjoyed our time on Myrtle Beach, once again.The unit was comfortable for our stay. We rented with this host, in another location on Myrtle beach 2 years ago and she was always very responsive to any needs or concerns we had, its why we chose to rent with her again. We had an added bonus as the weather was just perfect.

The condo itself was amazing. Very comfortable. The only drawback was the toilets were very close to the ground like child size making it very difficult for an elderly person to get up with weak muscles. Plenty to do at the condo with daily misc. classes for the kids and the super fun water park!!!! The lazy river was great for the “older” kids.

Great location for the Grandchildren. They couldn't get enough of the water slides. The two bedroom unit was well equipped with plenty of room.

We will be back!

Great room in a great location. Very well stocked kitchen, lots of towels, very roomy for a 2 bed! If you have kids, don't look any further you need to stay here!! There are so many pools and activities for the kids, it never felt crowded and everything is very clean and well kept.

We enjoyed our time here thoroughly. The condo was spacious, clean, and had all of the amenities that we needed. The view was spectacular from the balcony. I look forward to staying here again!!

Family Getaway

We enjoyed staying at this condo at the Dunes! Plenty of space for our family of 4 and great view of the beach! Great location to the pools and restaurant. Small Mirror on wall of master bathroom is not stable extra bedroom gets really hot it had a fan but the blade was broken off which made the fan very loud. Mast bedroom gets chilly at night needed to throw an extra blanket on the bed. Overall great place to stay would stay again!!

Decent stay

Our one week duration was nice. Had one appliance issue that was solved same day. King mattress should be replaced, kind of hard and feels lumpy. Walk to the beach is short, pool areas under each tower are great for kids and family. Daily activities carried out by condo staff. Overall great stay!!!

Great hotel amenities

This place was at a great location. So much to do here. As far as the condo the best parts were the connection between the kitchen, eating area, and sitting area, and the great view from all these spots. Also beds were very comfortable. Some small issues- included a bathroom fan that sounded like a jet engine, a broken front on one drawer in the second bedroom and limited storage space to put suitcases and other things after unpacking. Also the door to the closet in the second bedroom opens in a direction that makes it hard to access that space.

Great condo!

The TV in the master didn't work and the TV in the living room was burnt out. I messaged them and they responded RIGHT AWAY and replaced them with 2 new TVs within 24 hours. We loved the location and all the amenities. We will definitely come back.

Will stay again!

Everything is as advertised. Property is great, location is great. Extra bonus: jacuzzi tub in master! Ice cream truck isn’t there that long, don’t let the other reviews fool you. TV, couch, washer/dryer, everything was great. View is amazing, property is amazing, definitely lots to do! Plenty of parking in the garage too! Basketball court is behind the parking lot, the front desk rents out basketballs. I would definitely recommend staying here, you won’t regret it.

Family vacation

We were there for 2 weeks. Great location, easy parking. Over all good unit. Didn’t like walking out of the front door and seeing the roof with all the industrial ac units going and only covered by a curtain. But we did not hear them once the door was closed. Just a few little things that need to be looked after. Never enough hot water in master bathroom but just in the shower. Frying pans just awful, everything stuck badly. TV in the living room is finished. The screen has no more color. But it fit the budget .

Dunes Village, Myrtle Beach SC

The water park is what brought us to the area and was great for the kids. This wasn't our first stay at the property so we already knew the building is very dated and in poorcondition. The unit we rented was as expected... good enough. Pictures looked good but other units we have stayed in were much nicer. We did have a plumming issue that resulted in the unit smelling like sewer, and carpets being wet. While the host was easy to contact she was not interested in compensating us in any way. They had a plummer snake the toilet and spray lysol. The bathroom that flooded with grey/black water was never cleaned and the entire condo smelled terrible and had multiple fans on to dry the carpet for the entire length of our stay. Would expect better from a VBRO owner. damp. rsmellsewer.havplumming issue

Myrtle beach vacation

Overall, we had an amazing trip. The condo is in an excellent location with easy access to both towers amenities, as well as the beach. There’s a ton to do including sand volleyball, water slides, covered pool areas, shuffleboard, ping pong, etc. We loved all that was available to us. It was also an easy drive to great restaurants. The condo unit could use some TLC. It is apparent that it is never occupied by the owner. Most importantly, a new master bed is a must. We had to go to Walmart to purchase a mattress topper just to make it bearable but was still not great. The bed frames in the spare bedroom stick out so far with very little room to enter the bathroom , maybe 6 inches. A definite bruise maker. The carpet should be replaced and a fresh coat of paint. All bathroom and kitchen fixtures are wobbly and loose. Be prepared to purchase all necessities as there are no basic spices in the kitchen. You’ll need extra paper goods, toilet paper, paper towels and any and everything for the kitchen. The ice cream trucks are a constant and play Christmas music in the summer so maybe bring a portable speaker if you enjoy patio time. We experienced a water leak underneath the kitchen sink and a repairman was sent immediately which was appreciated. With a few minor adjustments, we could do 5 stars.

Big Warning for this location.

So, let’s start by saying that it was a good property. I’m not sure when the last time the host actually visited the property but it would seem like it’s been awhile as her instructions aren’t very accurate. The water parks and pools were great. There is a toilet “trailer” located on the south tower pool deck that reaks of sewage, don’t believe it was emptied once while we were there for a week. Now let’s move on to the room. Pretty sure the couch is 10-15 years old and extremely uncomfortable. The washer and dryer are a joke and you might as well use the coin laundry. The beds are comfortable but a little squeaky. Great view from the balcony, that being said if you plan on relaxing out there in the evening you’ll be sorely disappointed. There is a beach access parking lot between the two towers and there is an ice cream truck that is there all day and night blaring ice cream truck music, the resort can’t do anything about it. Then there’s the major issue, if one would have been found and it was small I wouldn’t be writing this. After the 7th one was found it is absolutely disgusting, and yea I am talking about roaches. Contacted the host and said sorry we spray once a month. You have to spray once a month for roaches… I would never stay in this room or this property ever again, do not recommend and just want everyone to know.

Overall it was a great trip. It is a very busy resort with lots of kids. It is a great family atmosphere. If you have tweens or teens might not be the place for you. Staff were great & very clean. Food was very good. The biggest issue for me was the rotation of the ice cream trucks. They were sometimes playing Christmas music, the staff nor owners can’t do anything about this because it is a public beach access. The staff at the tiki bar did have music to try to offset them.

Fall Vacation

Although our trip was cut short due to illness, the property was exceptional. The condos size, amenities and service was above expectations. We will be returning.

Great room nice view

I have never booked thru any owner vacation rental before. Up until the week before I kept my fingers crossed it wasn’t a scam. It wasn’t, check in was easy, the room lovely and clean. Enjoy the very low humidity weather and had a great time!!!! Nancy

Lovely

We stayed for a week at the beginning of June and it was great! We loved going back and forth from the beach to the pools. We only left for groceries and to ride the sky wheel, otherwise we were content to just relax. We loved that the water parks on site offered both indoor and outdoor pools, and splash pads, and lazy rivers. There is a large parking garage across the street for you to use, and the unit was clean and well cared for. Communication with the host was easy, and she was responsive and polite. The unit felt large and easily accommodated our group of 4 adults and 2 children. If we come back to Myrtle Beach we'd stay here again!
