A Perfect Holiday

We had high hopes for our stay at Villa Marvi and our hopes were exceeded. What a fantastic place to unwind and relax. Our hosts were so kind and generous. They came to meet us to help find the villa and had prepared an evening meal for us along with fruit from the garden (you can pick your own fruit and veg daily), wine and Raki. We have rented numerous villas over the years and Villa Marvis is in our top three. The nearby town of Panormos is only a five minute drive away and is just gorgeous. The people are friendly, the taverna's and restaurants are superb (don't miss our favourite which was called Makis). Nearby town of Perama offers supermarkets and butcher shop. I have already recommended this lovely villa to friends and family. Don't hesitate to book Villa Marvi as it is a gem.

amazing

the villa is perfect and the owners are kind and attentive- they cooked us a meal for our arrival and nothing was too much trouble. the photos don't really do it justice- there are extensive grounds with olive groves, fruit trees and an allotment, all of which you are encouraged to use. the taverna, which is a 3 minute walk away, is brilliant- we went 3 times. there are many great days out a short drive away. we had a brilliant time here and would highly recommend it

Perfektes Ferienhaus mit sehr freundlichen und hilfreichen Vermietern

Das Wichtigste in Kurz: - das Ferienhaus ist in einem sehr guten, praktisch perfekten Zustand. Alles ist sauber und neuwertig. Wir haben selten ein Ferienhaus in einem so guten Zustand gesehen. - die Vermieter-Familie ist unglaublich nett und freundlich. Vom Empfang mit einem komplett gerichteten, super leckeren griechischem Essen bis zur Hilfe am Sonntag, als die Tür der Waschmaschine klemmte: einfach super. - Der Gemüsegarten mit Erlaubnis zum Selbstbedienen: klasse. Tomaten und Trauben ohne Ende. - Der Pool und die ganze Außenanlage: super sauber, schön und perfekt zum Entspannen. Einfach 5+ Sterne und nur zu empfehlen!

Ein atemberaubendes Anwesen und Villa

Wir sind noch ganz geflasht von den Eindrücken dieses Objekts. Dieses lässt keinerlei Wünsche offen ! Die Villa ist mit so viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und so perfekt sauber. Wir sind so herzlich von der ganzen Familie empfangen worden mit einem traditionellen Essen, Obst und Gemüse aus dem Garten und Wein. Das ist nicht selbstverständlich! Man konnte jederzeit Obst und Gemüse aus dem gigantischen Garten ernten, alles was das Herz begehrt. Wir werden dort definitiv wieder Urlaub machen ! Man benötigt einen Mietwagen um die tolle Region zu erkunden, es gibt so viel tolles zu sehen. Danke vielmals an Stelios und Familie, die immer bei Fragen kurzfristig für uns da waren ! Ganz große Klasse !

Sehr schöner Urlaub

Wir haben nach einem sehr herzlichen Empfang mit einem sehr leckeren Essen zur Begrüßung 12 schöne Tage in der Villa verbracht. Besonders die Herzlichkeit des Empfangs hat uns beindruckt. Das wir uns dann auch noch im Gemüsegarten bedienen durften war auch klasse. Danke auch hierfür. Die Villa entspricht in allen Punkten der Beschreibung. Hier nur einige nicht wirklich gravierende Anmerkungen für die zukunft: bei dem hohen, wenn auch angmessenen Preis, sollte man einen größeren Sonnenschrim, leichte Auflagen für die Sonnenliegen und außreichend Toilettenpapier und Tabs für die Spülmaschine bereithalten. Wir können die Villa uneingeschräkt weiter empfehlen und sagen Dnke an Stelios und seine Familie.

Beautiful villa for a relaxing holiday

The villa is stunning and finished to a very high standard. Spotlessly clean. Well maintained gardens full of fruit and vegetables which the lovely owners encourage you to pick and eat. The homemade welcome meal, complete with a large carafe of wine, was delicious and very well received after a day of travelling. The bed was comfortable. The pool is fabulous, with a jacuzzi in the shallow end. The villa is quite remote so a car is needed. Panarmo is the closest coastal village and our favourite place for a meal and drinks. We were lucky enough not to have any neighbours in the villa next to us during our stay, but only the bedroom balconies overlook the pool if there was anyone there. Would highly recommend Villa Marvi to our friends and family. Efcharistò

Heaven on Earth!

I have decided that this is what heaven looks like and sounds like to me. The hospitality shown us from the moment we arrived exceeded any expectations - three generations of the wonderful house family met us. They had a delicious homemade meal waiting on the table with wine! We loved picking apricots from the garden each morning. Make sure to visit Meldoni Cave, eat at Carob 'n Olive, and swim at the third to last beach in Bali. FANTASTIC!!! Clean, peaceful - you will awake to the sounds of roosters and goat bells. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!

Beautiful, peaceful & well appointed villa in a great location.

The property is a beautiful two story stone clad villa in the village of Roumeli, just in-land from the port town of Panormos. The villa is modern and beautifully decoratorated. It sits in a large private plot surrounded by fruit and olive trees with pots of beautiful and unsual plants on a hillside overlooking the sea to the North and the beautiful snowcapped mountains to the South. We found the villa quite difficult to locate on the first day and were quite late arriving. The wonderful family who run villa Marvi waited for us to arrive to welcome us and show us arround. They had even prepared a delicious traditional greek dinner for us. Our two boys loved the refreshingly cool pool (which was beautifully maintained) and wanted to be in there as soon as we got back from exploring each day. Our youngest loved critter hunting and found praying mantis, lizards and a Cretan Frog in the garden which made his holiday. Our eldest loved the WiFi.... We loved the peace and quiet and made use of the lovely BBQ facilities for dinners. We would suggest if you stay here you should definitiely visit the Palace of Knossos and hire a guide for an hour before exploring yourself. Heraklion museum is beautiful and holds the famous bulls head Rhyton; Cretes version of the mask of Tutankhamun. Rethymno & Chania harbours are full of history and are great places to enjoy a lovely seafood meal. There is a lovely, friendly and affordable taverna 5 mins walk away from the villa with great views over the valley & lots of gratis Raki. If you have a rainy day and kids we'd definitely suggest visiting Reptisland in the nearby village of Melidoni where your kids can hold snakes and lizards and Melidoni cave which a stones throw away. The Cretaquarium near Heraklion is lovely too, the VR experience is definitely worth paying the extra for. I'd like to thank Stelios and his family for making our stay in their wonderful villa a holiday we will always remember with a big smile. I am quite sure we will be back one day and have recommended Villa Marvi to all of our friends and releatives.

Super séjour à Roumeli

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Roumeli. La propriété est très agréable (villa très adaptée pour notre famille de 4 personnes, superbe piscine dont nous n'avons pas pu profiter à cause de la météo, jardin potager rempli de fruits et légumes, extérieur très agréable ). Les propriétaires sont adorables et nous ont très bien accueillis. Nous avions même un repas préparé le soir de notre arrivé. Côte situation géographique, nous y avons trouvé notre compte aussi. Bref, merci encore à Stelios et sa femme

Top !

La maison est vraiment jolie, charmante et très bien entretenue est soignée, ainsi que les espaces extérieurs et la piscine. Nous avons pu profiter des fruits et légumes du jardin. L'accueil par Stelios et sa famille était au top, un super repas préparé nous attendait ainsi que de l'huile et du vin de leur production. La maison est très bien située : en hauteur, nous n'avons jamais eu trop chaud ( au besoin, la climatisation peut aider) , Roumeli possède 2 petits supermarchés et pas très loin de la grande route permettant de parcourir l'île assez facilement. Vraiment Top

Großartig

Die wunderschöne Villa ist sehr sauber und top gepflegt. Sehr schönes Haus mit einem tollen Ausblick, schönen gepflegten Garten und Pool. Wir durften uns an dem Obst und Gemüse aus dem Garten bedienen. Am Anreisetag wurden wir mit exzellentem Essen überrascht. Unglaublich liebe und sehr hilfsbereite Besitzer. Ein schöner Ort um Ruhe zu finden und zu entspannen und die perfekte Lage, um die Insel zu erkunden. Die Gastfreundschaft ist unbeschreiblich. Herzlichen Dank für so viele wundervolle Erlebnisse und Eindrücke die wir hier sammeln durften. Es war einer unserer schönsten Urlaube!!! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Herzlichkeit

Wir hatten leichte Probleme das Objekt zu finden,da es keine Strassennamen oder hausnummern gibt.Nach einem Telefonat wurden wir vom vermieter im nächsten Ort abgeholt.Dort wurden wir mit einem Essen empfangen und mit einer nicht gekannten Herzlichkeit über die gesamte Mietzeit betreut.Alles in einwandfreiem Zustand und neuwertig, sehr sauber und gepflegt. Wir kommen wieder!!!

wundervolle Steinvilla

Wir haben 1 Woche in dieser tollen Ferienvilla verbracht. Wir sind sehr herzlich empfangen worden, das Haus ist schön und liebevoll eingerichtet. Ausstattung super! Es ist wirklich blitz-sauber, man merkt, dass sich hier die Eigentümer selbst kümmern und nicht irgendeine Agentur oder Reinigungsservice. Es hat noch mehr Charme als auf den Fotos :-) Der Garten ist auch sehr gepflegt und mittlerweile üppig bewachsen. In der näheren Umgebung sind einige gute Ausflugsziele und auch sehr gute Tavernen (uns hat am besten gefallen Carob and Olive in Melidoni und Kastro in Panormos), von den wirklich richtig schönen Stränden und Buchten im Süden und Süd- Westen ist man allerdings weit entfernt, daher haben wir eher einen Pool-Urlaub als Strand Urlaub gemacht. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, vielen Dank an die ganze Familie!

Lovely Villa

We have just returned from a lovely two week stay at this property. The villa is exactly as per the listing - spacious, spotlessly clean, great air conditioning and comfortable beds and all the facilities you need. The pool and outside areas are lovely too. Roumeli itself is a small village, with 3 main streets going up the hill, a very nice Taverna, a couple of cafes and a supermarket. We had a car and would probably recommend that - although here you have the advantage of feeling that you are in a remote place and yet being only a couple of kms from the national road and also the small coastal resort of Panormo. If you like the feeling of being away from it - but not too far than this is the perfect location. there is a property next door but they were only there for a couple of days and it was generally very quiet. As well as the villa itself, the hospitality of stelios and family was also outstanding. When we arrived they had prepared a lovely meal for us - as well as a basket of their wine, olives, oil fruit and other produce. Throughout the stay we were left with different gifts of fruit and vegetables from the garden, eggs and even cakes. It was a lovely additional touch and adds to the general charm of the place. We would definitely stay again if we visit Crete again and would highly recommend this lovely place

A small slice of heaven

What a beautiful villa, an amazing experience and incredible host. From the first moment you arrive, where Donia and Stelios (and mum) have prepared a welcome moussaka for you, there’s not a moment that isn’t idyllic. With its own olive grove, herb garden and orchestra of crickets, Villa Marvi just keeps on giving. The views are spectacular, the BBQ and pool perfect and you just couldn’t possibly wish for more....other than a longer stay of course! Best hosts and villa ever, can’t recommend this place highly enough...

Relaxing, wonderful holiday

Stelios and his family were so welcoming. The villa has everything you could want including a delicious moussaka to welcome us, regular deliveries of fruit and vegetables homegrown, towels for the pool, inflatables for the pool, excellent air conditioning, a wonderful taverna, local cafe and supermarket and much more. My mark down for the description was that with all the wonderful photos there were none that showed the villa immediately next door with a balcony overlooking our pool. We had a perfect holiday and would thoroughly recommend Villa Marvi

Séjour doux, paisible et agréable.

Nous avons été enchantés par la gentillesse et le superbe accueil du propriétaire et de son épouse. La maison correspond à l’annonce: très propre, fonctionnelle, bien équipée, agréable. Il s’y dégage une douce et paisible atmosphère. Stelios nous invite à nous servir généreusement dans son potager, Chaque jour, il nous déposait devant la porte fruits et légumes 😊 Seul petit bémol: la proximité immédiate et le vis à vis avec une autre villa. Cela nuit à l’intimé... Encore merci au propriétaire pour leur accueil si chaleureux. Nous y retournerons.

Crete Trip

We had a wonderful stay in this villa. The owners provided a late night authentic Greek meal on arrival which was so welcome after a long day of travel. Everything from the refreshing pool to the functional air conditioning made our week long stay with nothing more to hope for-except a longer stay. The quaint harbor town of Panormos was only an easy 5 minute drive away which provided high quality but inexpensive restaurants as well as a beach or two. We can't wait to go back to Crete! Thanks to Stelios and his family for making this a memorable vacation!

Ein wunderbarer Urlaub!

Wir sind noch nirgendwo so herzlich empfangen worden wie von Stelios und seiner Familie. Das Haus und der Garten sind neu, sehr sauber und alles ist in einem perfekten Zustand. Die Austattung ist absolut komplett. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und können diese Villa für einen entspannten Urlaub uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Wir wären sehr gern länger geblieben.
