"I have to say that the hotel met absolutely my expectations. The room was comfortable, nice and clean. Furthermore the hotel staff was really nice and friendly. The only negative aspect was the cleaning of the toilet once we were staying in the room. For instance, in 4 nights we had the same towels although, I imagine that they would have solved the problem inmediately if I had notified it. In general, everything was quite good. I strongly recommend it."

"Beautiful parkland and excellent room and facilities - we enjoyed the spa and gym too. The gym was well supplied with machines and weights. All the staff were friendly and helpful and catered for a number of special requests. A shame we were there on a Monday night when the Orangery restaurant was not open as we would like to have tried it. Would definitely recommend."

"Couldn't fault anything really. Good value for money. Clean and well presented rooms. Friendly staff and there was a lovely aroma in the reception area and the lifts. Not sure if it was an air freshener but it was the first thing I noticed when I walked in. Good choice at breakfast and was nice to use the pool and facilities. All in all a very pleasant stay. Would definitely recommend. "

So there was a problem (not happy) 3hours on a motorcycle and wet through ,booked and paid for ,payment taken and no room? "Stayed for one night to break up a long drive back from Scotland, and so pleased we did. The location is wonderful, we had a lovely walk along the track just behind the building near the river. Beautiful countryside, very peaceful and interesting to see the remains of a roman bridge and Fort close-by. The room itself was excellent, and the whole place had real character, nice food at the resturant too. Finally thanks to the staff for beong friendly and welcoming, I would love to come back...
