Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Stayed for one week at Surfmaster in Garden City. The property was in a wonderful location, clean and comfortable. Garden City realty was great to work with and made the check in/check out process very easy. I would recommend them to anyone.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the 2nd time we have stayed in this condo. It is very well kept and clean with comfortable bed and furniture. The kitchen was well supplied with everything except a pizza pan. The bathrooms were very clean with no issues except the fan in the half-bath is starting to fail. Beautiful view from the balcony and a lounge chair would be a good addition. Very unique decorations make this an interesting and fun condo to stay at. We would be happy to rent this one again.

Lovely getaway spot

Just wish the black plastic mesh covering balcony railing weren't partially blocking the view while seated. Understand it's for animal and children protection, but definitely affects view from balcony.

3day weekend

Staff very professional and we didn’t even have to go to reality company to check in. The balcony was wonderful. Spent a lot of time just listening to the breaking waves. All the furniture was very comfortable. The only problem we had was the tv’s. We were not familiar with their system. Recommend condo highly.

On arrival to unit first thing I observed was carpet was torn and dirty Was disappointed HVAC system was not working on arrival. Maintenance was contacted x 2 regarding HVAC system.

Great Place, but GCR not so great

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was in great shape and had really cool furnishings with the pirates and jungle theme. It was also very clean. GCR, however, had some issues. Another couple arrived before us, going to the wrong condo. Some maintenance guy let them in since the code they had didn't work on our door. These people came in, took our parking pass, and went shopping. GCR sent us a new code since it had been reset. We got there and there was no parking pass. Since the HOA is real Nazis about this, I went to the GCR office asking for a pass. First I was told by a clerk there was nothing they could do and I would have to park on the street. After driving 500 miles, I was livid. They finally got the security people to create a new pass after some yelling on my part. There are several issues here: 1) A maintenance person should not be letting people in without ID. 2)GCR should have emergency passes available to replace lost or stolen passes. 3)GCR personnel should be better trained to deal with such a situation. We have rented through GCR for about 20 years and have never had such an issue until now. They have, in the past, always great to deal with.

Awesome Condo-Very Clean

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed in a lot of condos and houses in the past 30 years and this was one of the cleanest we've ever entered. The lights were on when we entered so it was very welcoming and I felt "at home". I had a very positive experience with the staff when our code wouldn't work to unlock the door upon arrival-Very friendly and extremely helpful. They solved the problem while I was on the phone with them. The condo was well maintained and stocked. The building overall was also very clean and well maintained. I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the elevators and hallways on a Saturday when there would have been a lot of "traffic" in and out. Loved that bath and bed linens were provided (the bed was even made!). Made it super convenient.

Great Unit, Perfect Location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The building took a lightning hit the first day and the HOA struggled to keep the A/C running. Garden City Reality was very responsive and took care of us the best they could. Most importantly, Garden City Realty was proactive to make sure we were fairly compensated and even paid for a small fan to help out on the few hot nights.

The paper products (toilet paper, paper towels) were very sparse and could be improved. TV had no instructions and was difficult to navigate. TV in bedroom had no signal and did not work at all during visit. The overall visit was very good.

Reviewer Comments: Great location and great views from living room and balcony! This unit was comfortable and with tropical decor, including mermaids, monkeys and pirates. Having 1.5 baths is a plus in addition to option to close door to make 2 private areas in unit. Sitting between Garden City Pier and the currently under construction Surfside Beach Pier, you have lots of options within walking distance. Restaurants closeby or within short driving distance, too. The ocean is so close! The balcony furniture quite comfortable on this very private balcony. Sunrises seen from living and dining areas as well as balcony. Great lighting in unit with much of it natural lighting. Would definitely stay in this unit again.
