Reviewer Comments: have been staying thre about twent years this unit was the worst main bath drain kept stoping up half bath was outdated and nasty this is first ever complaint

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Had a wonderful stay at Surf Master. Brand new king size mattress in #709! Love the view from the balcony all the way down the coast line. Especially appreciated the complimentary umbrella and chairs set up for us every day on the beach. Would definitely choose this unit for a return visit. Great vacation!

The mattress also needs to be replaced . Very uncomfortable ! We have stayed at surfmaster many times and have even stayed in this unit years ago however we were very disappointed this visit !

Needs Repairs

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed for 3 days in March 2014 and left a list of needed repairs with the management company that they said would be forwarded to the owners. The two bath sinks and shower head needed to be replaced as well as the one toilet was so loud we rarely used it. The main TV had very poor reception and the remote didn't work. The overall building is showing age as well. Great location.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our second stay at 709. We enjoy the nautical theme throughout the rooms. It is completely furnished for all our needs. Rooms were clean and there was plenty of blankets and pillows for many guests.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The main complaint is that the TV was outdated, i.e., not a flat screen either in the living room nor bedroom which was really small to view. The remote in the main living area did not work. The channels up and down and volume had to be aimed just so and then they still did not work well even though the batteries were replaced. That was very frustrating when we had to use the numbers to advance the channels up and down. We felt it was worn out. There was only one trash bag in the kitchen. After several days, the trash started to smell so needed to be changed more than once. Fortunately, we had another bag to use. Not enough tea spoons or cereal bowls so had to wash most dishes by hand. The two faucets in both bathrooms are hard to work and need to be replaced. The toilet seat in the 1/2 bath was not large enough for an adult. The front door knob needs to be replaced as it was loose moving on the shaft and pinches fingers. Rust was also present on the exterior doors. There was a spot on one of the couches which needed attention. Could not get the elec. can opener to work. We did appreciate the fact that there was a w/d unit and everything else was all right. I hope the critical remarks will help make it a better condo experience for others to enjoy. We also thought the cost of the condo was quite reasonable.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the 26th year that we have stayed at Surfmaster. This is the 2nd year that we have stayed in 709. In general the condo is very nice-furniture in good condition, enough items in the kitchen, etc. The master bath looks very nice but-the sink faucets are a problem. They need to be replaced. Very hard to turn to the cold water side; hard to brush teeth with hot water. Other than that (which we could live with) the whole week was great.

Still Love the Surfmaster

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have been staying at the Surfmaster on/off since 1988. This was my first stay in unit 709 and my husband and I really enjoyed it. You can tell that the owner takes pride in making the unit look nice with the sea themed decorations and amenities. I understand rentals can take a beating and the units are older so if you choose to stay here, keep that in mind. Each unit will also be different depending on how the owner cares for it too. I think the Surfmaster after all these years still looks fantastic. We look forward to booking with the Surfmaster/Garden City Realty again in the future.

The owners of 709 have given great attention to details of decor. The living rom carpeting is a bit worn, but the unit was GREAT! Ramona, in the office at 104 was very helpful and professional. Great location, 1.2 miles to pier (walking). The condo was cozy, nicely decorated and very well equipped. Loved the ocean views from the balcony. I highly recommend this unit and would stay there again.
