Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very disapointing. Royal Garden is an old and tired building. Our unit is in desparate need of renovation. This unit is overpriced for the condition. This reflects badly on the property management company.

Great views, terrible condo

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great views. Not impressed with the building. After the first day, the indoor pool was closed. The floor of the hallway to the condo was being painted and was partially blocked off. Couldn’t even get a cooler through it. The hot tub wasn’t heated. The only thing that was good was the bar/restaurant in this condo. Garden city realty made things right. I would definitely rent from them again.

The parking garage was a little tight and spaces filled up quickly. But it was still a great spot to vacation!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location we love Royal Gardens always stay here and have for the past 5 year. The unit (807) we stayed in this year needs A/C maintenance the room wouldn’t cool in the front of unit, the dryer has a note tape to the door if clothes aren’t dry let the dryer cool for 20 minutes and turn back on, TV in master bedroom was a 18 inch and the living room TV was 32 inch and the cable company they use you can’t receive local stations to see what weather was going to be so we relied on our phones for weather updates, also in master bedroom the window needs better light blocking blinds and a valance to block the light coming in from parking deck. Overall 4 out of 10

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit was very clean. We enjoyed our stay and would probably rent this property again. The only thing I wish the owners would consider is a small cabinet or table in the main bath and a table on the balcony. Location is close to restaurants and shopping. We never could get the wifi to work.

I was welcomed with warmth, smiles and they were also able to accommodate an early arrival with zero issues. My condo was clean and ready for my stay. Check in & out were quite seamless. The staff at my condo were also extremely courteous. When I left I felt like I was leaving family. Can’t wait to return! Thank you Garden City Realty!! I had the best time EVER!

Room 807 review.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our condo was decent. The kitchen and living room looked nice. The dishwasher did not clean the dishes. Found dirty dishes in drawers and when tan dishwasher they came out dirty. The mattresses and pillows were very bad. The bottom shelf in refrigerator was missing. The counter, dishwasher handle and stove handle weee dirty. The bathrooms had no shelf’s or counter space to get ready with. The main bathtub was a jet tub and very hard and dangerous to get in and out of and was very old and gross. Chairs on patio were not good for sitting in because could not see ocean. Needed high chairs or regular chairs. Loved royal gardens. Very old but they kept grounds and place very neat. Loved the salty pickle. We would be back but we would try a different unit. We had a total of four units and 810 and 906 were the best ones with 1212 being the absolute worst. I cannot believe that one was able to be rented. Black ceilings and broken stove and very dirty and old. The ceiling was all cracked in living room and stove was a fire hazard.

We never had to wait more than a minute or two for an elevator. The hot water in the condo could have been warmer but overall everything was better than I expected.

Had to go to GCR at 4:25 to check on availability of condo only to find it had been ready since 5/23. GCR agent very apologetic. Stressful because we had dinner reservations in NMB at 6:30. We were a little late. 2. Upon arrival discovered 3day old grounds left in coffee maker 3. Beds very soft and sleep quality was poor4. Shower in 2nd bathroom was like showering in a phone booth5. GCR agent Lisa called to check on our stay. Told her about items 1-4. She apologized. Sent housekeeper with mattress pad which helped. Also brought extra towels which were helpful. Refunded booking fee.Thank your6. Overall condo furnishings were Spartan. 7. GCR needs to describe condo more accurately. It was old, small, overpriced, and outdated. I’d never go back to this property.8. Best feature of weekend we’re the extra towel packets!

How I found Unit 807

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The weather was good The check in and out was easy.The Unit could use some updates. The tub/shower in the master bath is very dangerous.It's built on a platform, has a very high side and the bottom is slippery with no bar to hold onto. The owner could put an end table or two in the living room for drinks and food.The double bed was comfortable, good pillows. The kitchen was nice and well furnished except for a frying pan. Bring your own. Good appliances. Will stay in Royal Gardens again and hope the indoor pool is warmer.

As we were having a drink by the pool Friday, my phone rings and someone asks if we're okay because all our stuff is still in the room. I explain the mistake I made and they accommodated us and let us stay the extra day. To say we appreciated that very much is an understatement. Thank you Garden City Realty for being amazing and kind. We'll be back very soon!!

Royal Garden Resort 807

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The hinge on the front door was broken causing the door to scrape on the tile floor. A new door had to be ordered and not able to be replaced during our stay. The oven door stood open about 3 inches and would not close, therefore, not usable. Maintenance was unable to repair the oven door. The bottom dresser drawer was broken. Maintenance said the dresser would need to be replaced. The sliding door to the balcony was difficult to slide. A broken serving bowl was on top of the refrigerator and the back was missing from the TV remote control. Only 2 of the 3 elevators were operational. Other than these things, we loved the resort. The location was great, the pool and deck were the best we have ever had. On Labor Day, there was a DJ playing lively music. The Salty Pickle Bar and Grill, located off the pool area, was grilling hamburgers and hot dogs on the deck. Very festive atmosphere. We will definitely go back, just not to that condo. GARDEN CITY REALITY was friendly and easy to work with. They were quick to respond to our concerns.

Nice Beach Getaway

Bad experience

Reviewer Comments: We used Garden City rental many times before and have had good luck, but not this time. VERY disappointed. When we arrived the A/C unit was leaking water all over the floor. We called and someone showed up and said the would have an A/C person there right away to fix, after 3 hrs and 3 more calls someone showed up an repaired. The balcony was UNUSABLE due to Pigeon **** covering everything, some one came 2 days later and cleaned the area up, even they said they never saw anything this bad. The main shower had globs of hair stuck to the wall, it was disgusting. I doubt we will ever use Garden City Realty again, and plan on posting this to the Myrtle Beach Tourism Facebook page as well so other people know not to go here.
