Pros: The layout of the home was good. It had 3 masters which was nice. Cons: The property was not clean. The downstairs bathroom smelled like urine. The bath tubs had black and mildew around the drain and the handles. The air condition upstairs had to work very hard to cool the entire home. Condensation has caused damage around the vents upstairs and drips water on any and everything under it. The downstairs air condition does not cool properly. A call to the management company resulted in a smart mouth tech that said nothing was wrong. Seriously, we are sweating downstairs and freezing upstairs. Glad to know nothing is wrong. The main sliding glass door downstairs either falls in or out, difficult to open/close. I called and requested a call from the manager. Never happened! The tv was also stolen from the living room. We called as soon as we entered the property on Sat. It was promised to be replaced on Sunday. After a follow up call on Monday morning, it was replaced on Monday after lunch. Lastly, spending the 4th here was a disaster. Literally 60 people camped out in the 70feet in front of our home -- drinking, smoking and crowding us out. A lady actually ducked her head under our umbrella to light her cigarette. There were miles of empty beach and the public beach access right beside the home caused a large, not family friendly crowd of locals to ruin the day. We rented 3 miles down the beach to avoid large crowds. Although a crowd is expected on a holiday, it was disappointing to pay the money to stay beach front and have to move to escape this type of crowd. We have stayed in Garden City for 25 years the week of the 4th and have never experienced this type of vacation. Disappointing to say the least! If this home was cleaned and properly maintained, it would be a quality rental. But beware of the public beach access that drew a crowd of locals (teenagers and adults alike) who planned to break the open container and litter laws.
