Negatives: This property is in need of some TLC. Unfortunately, We were two hours past the 4pm check in before we could access the rental. This wasn’t the end of the world but when it’s 90+ degrees and you have a total of 9 children that have been trapped in a car for 12 hours...two more hours of “waiting” can take its toll on your parental sanity.
Behind the beds in this place was filthy. Pieces of food, trash, sand, toenail clippings....it was gross. All of the throw rugs were dirty and needed laundered. Again, not a big deal but there aren’t mirrors in most of the bedrooms. The only mirror available was in the bathroom. This can be difficult when you have multiple females trying to get ready all at the same time. Furniture is worn and in need of a deep clean. I personally swept off the cold air returns in the living area because they were covered in dust. There were only a few skillets available and they were poor quality, all the food burned. No cookie sheets at all. The dryer vent to the outside was a complete fire hazard. It’s time to do some updating in this rental, not worth the $8k price tag for the week. The upstairs fridge barely kept the food cold. We enjoyed the area but won’t return to this rental.
Positives: Being oceanfront with a private pool. Again, with 9 children, having a pool is a must!
The location near the wall was nice. We had a nice section of the beach to ourselves even though there is a public access right beside it.
Having the two refrigerators came in handy.
The beach was nice but at high tide waves come all the way up on the walk way decking making it difficult to get to the beach.
Garbage ran twice a week, the beach overall was very clean of trash/debris.
