Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a 3 mo rental. Great location, our 3rd year at MQ. MQ202 is ‘tired’ and in need of new living room couches and new mattresses in both bedrooms. Patio furniture is minimal. Garden City linens are of poor quality. We would not stay in this unit unless the above upgrades are done

Great location with wonderful views. Two of the most important things we look for after location and budget are safety and rental being clean. Garden City Realty was a five star on everything!!!! Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Stay was good. A few problems. Carpet needs to be cleaned and only a few receptacles work. That was definitely a problem.

Loved the area

Reviewer Comments: The area was perfect, loved that the condo was next to a marina, enjoyed watching the boats come and go, and also across the street to a short walk to the beach. I would recommend better table and chairs for the balcony, there was only a snack table; a high top table and chairs would allow guests to also view the ocean. Kitchen could use sharper knives and better cutting boards. There was a major leak in the bathroom ceiling the first week of stay but maintenance came right over and addressed. Second week after a rainy day/night, there was a leak in the bedroom ceiling, the bed got soaked and also floor, maintenance's solution was pray it doesn't rain (not an acceptable response), there was a stain on that ceiling so this has happened before (definitely needs to be addressed). The last week we were there, someone was smoking in the middle of the night and the smell was coming into our condo through the bathroom fan, ugh! There was a broken pipe on the property grounds which took a couple of weeks to fix and we were without water for a day and a half. The hole on the property was still not filled by the time we left, well over a month. Lastly the elevator broke down the day my friend was leaving so had to carry her 50 lb luggage down the stairs. But overall I loved the area, so definitely recommend if the issues above are addressed.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Den and dining furniture nice. Bedrooms need new bedcovers. Worn out. Take off worn bed skirts. Need new blankets. Dirty looking. Outside patio is wonderful, but need a bigger and more stable table. Only 2 can eat at it. Kitchen needs more drinking glasses and new baking pans. I had to wash bath rug and kitchen rug. I love the view, location and amenities. Also, gated!!

Reviewer Comments: We love Marlin Quay and have stayed at this condo many times, love seeing the improvements made but they desperately need to replace main bedroom mattresses. When we arrived the actual mattress was sloping to one side and after my husband inspected the mattress we realize the boxspring on one side was on the floor so we corrected that but the mattress was still just so bad and very uncomfortable. Will not be able to stay there again and not be able to sleep well.

Could not access bathroom from guest bedroom due to oversize furniture. Unit not clean (hair in shower, dirty silverware, dirty floors). Overall poor condition. Needs update, paint, new furniture, etc. Old and worn.

Sister get together - perfect for our purposes

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit was a great location, close to public access to the beach and beautiful views of the inlet channel and marina. The condo was perfect for our purposes, just a few suggestions: We didn't use the pull out couch,but if we needed to there were no extra blankets or sheets for it. We could have used a couple extra blankets for our own beds. They only had a sheet and a very light quilt. There were plenty of extra pillows, just no blankets. The place was over all very clean and had everything we needed. The laundry room had cluttered shelves and was a bit dirty. We were there 4 days and only two of us, but if it was longer there really was not an empty cabinet to put food/groceries. Beds were soft and the mattress covers were stained. Marlin Quay is a safe and gated community of condos, with two very nice pools, and quiet which we liked. We would definitely stay there again.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our condo had no sheets on the beds, no towels or toilet paper when we arrived. We called the realty and got the needed items while we were at dinner. Thankfully, we arrived early enough that we were not ready for bed as soon as we arrived.The king sized bed was “worn out” and we used the queens which were satisfactory. The plumbing in the master bedroom was such that the toilet backed up into the tub. Yuck!! The TV had only basic channels.

The patio door is still difficult to use and we feared would get damaged every time we tried to open or close due to it not turning well.

Overall very clean & décor nice but needs some maintenance work: Fan in MB doesn't work, MB Toilet doesn't flush fully, MB light hanging, MB bedskirt torn, extra blankets stained, Kitchen faucet leaks/sprays water, dryer handle broken.

A little disappointed

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Not as great as I expected. First of all I was never informed that the entire condo building was under construction. When we went to check In for keys etc. I inquired why I was not informed of this when I made my first deposit and the final payment. I also called the office months prior to our arrival and STiLL was not told about this! We had scaffolding right outside our deck, had to move our car across the street during the week due to dust, equipment. The condo itself had a nice lay out but in need of major upgrades. The coffee pot was extremely old - a pod machine is pretty cheap now days and I went out and purchased my own pan to cook in. There was a plastic jug filled with mold on one of the shelf. The dishes, glassware was a hodge podge of mix matches junk which one could easily update pretty cheap. The wall of glass mirrors is definitely outdated. The bedroom furniture was pretty cheap and the bathroom cabinets were very old. There were not drawers for storage. The second bedroom did not even have a TV. Again, major upgrades were in need many which could be done for reasonable cost. The best part of this condo was the location and view (even thru the scaffolding). Need less to day I feel that withholding this information was pretty wrong on your part.

Beautiful setting and well maintained grounds - view of the inlet off the deck and balcony view of the ocean - comfortable furniture and roomy condo - all made for an exceptional week of relaxation! One suggestion - may be time to replace the king mattress.

Easter Vacation Rental

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was in a great location and was very clean. There were some issues with the TV's not working but this was fixed quickly. The view was nice but construction on grounds and pool was an unexpected distraction. I'm sure it will be very nice after the construction is complete. We did run out of hot water after one shower. I did, however, like the condo and would stay there again-hopefully with hot water and completed construction!

HALL SHOWER HAS NO WATER NO WATER PRESSURE. LIGHTS OUT IN LIVING ROOM AND BATHROOM. DURING RAIN AND WIND, WATER WAS COMING IN THE SLIDING GLASS DOOR FRAME IN MASTER BEDROOM. UNIT FURNITURE IS OLD AND DATED. ACCESS DOOR FROM BACK STAIRS RATTLED DURING ENTIRE WIND AND STORM. ELEVATORS DID NOT WORK FROM MONDAY TO LATE TUESDAY. POOL WAS CLEANED AFTER STORM ON MONDAY UNTIL LATE TUESDAY OR WEDNESDAY. HAD TO SEARCH FOR PATIO TABLE UMBRELLA.
