I love how we can get the best of both worlds by being one block from the ocean and still able to have all the fun of kayaking and fish off of our own dock. Sunsets are spectacular!

Perfect Inlet Vacation!

Reviewer Comments: When my daughter turned 30, instead of a present or party, she wanted to replicate the beach experiences she had enjoyed as a child when my father would rent a beach house for the family. Although her immediate family was present, she also invited some of her friends to the vacation. This house was a pefect fit for us. The open floor plan for the kitchen and den areas invites conversation and congregation, the porches are spacious and well supplied with enough chairs for the whole group, and the kitchen is stocked with cookware for large meals. We spent the week making fancy cocktails, cooking for each other, watching the sunsets over the inlet, and playing beach games. The beach was easily accessible and the fixed and floating docks made outside recreation all the more enjoyable!

Very Satisfying Experience

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Rented for a week to enjoy quiet relaxation time with extended family. The home provided everything we desired. The main goal was to provide an opportunity to fish the main channel of the inlet and we were not disappointed! Really no complaints about the house.The only downside (and a minor one) was the live music from the Marshwalk across the inlet was loud enough to be heard inside the house. Thankfully this was only on a few nights leading into the weekend (Thurs-Fri-Sat) and stopped around midnight.

We have been coming for over 40 years and have had to move houses due to different circumstances, the last one being the cost increase. So glad we found LaHaina and can continue our tradition for a few more years. Thank you for the use of your home!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A wonderful family experience. Fishing was phenomenal! Location was perfect for us. Not being on the main road made everything much more relaxing. The floors were a bit dirty, but not bad enough to complain. The maintenance man’s (Buddy) side comment was offensive to my wife and I, but again that’s not Garden city’s fault. Overall, we loved our vacation home and are booking it again as soon as possible if that tells you anything!

Reviewer Comments: This home fits my family, so we have booked it several times now. It was very disappointing that the house was not cleaned, and the ice maker was not in working condition. You could not walk bare footed because the bottom of your feet would be completely filthy and the top bed comforters haven't been washed in a long time.

Discouraged Vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Love the location of this property. Fortunately it overshadowed the downfall of the cleanliness. Was very disheartened that I had to mop the floors, because we had infants crawling around on a hairy dirty floor. Our feet was black from the dirt on the floor. When spending almost $6000 for a weeks vacation you hope you don’t have to come clean behind housekeeping but that was not the case. Refrigerator was 65 degrees upon arrival. Had to call maintenance and was informed by the maintenance guy that he didn’t have time to come assist us for what is nonsense and it will eventually cool. This was after we had bought $400 worth of groceries and had infants that needed bottles refrigerated. Just very disheartened !!!

Great House and Location!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family has never rented a beach house before and had no idea what to expect. We packed many things we did not need since the kitchen was so well equipped. We only had two hiccups, or issues, with the house. We did not contact anyone during the stay but probably should have to get it addressed while we were there. 1) The shrink wrapped towels were not placed properly in each room so some of the family thought they were missed only to find extra in another a couple of days later and another set under a bathroom sink. 2) the dishwasher did not clean the dishes very well and definitely did not dry them, even the glass. We did not let this affect our time! We already reserved for next year and will be sure to check towels and dishwasher right away! Thanks!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a great place to stay.. very nice dock area with light, close walk to the beach and overal great place. All appliances were new or close to it, so that was great compared to the year prior when we stayed at Up’d D Creek which is a few houses down. It needed some serious repairs with drain issues and non working appliances. It made this place seem like a dream! Also, I did review last years place (up’d d creek) but, am unable to see the review on the realtor site - I guess only the good reviews get posted🤨 if you are reading reviews make sure they are within the last year not 2016! The only negative I can think of is the bathrooms could use some updating and the shower head raised - they were extremely low.

Nice place to rent

Boys loved the dock to fish and the kitchen well stocked w/ pots and pans for cooking. Would have been nice to have a grill; but another house did.

This felt like the consummate beach house, very comfortable and livable. Wouldn't hesitate to ask for this house if returning for longer stay with more people - great location for beach and inlet.

Reviewer Comments: plus(es)--location/dock appliances/ice maker/ comfy couches- very good. Great access for boat and fishing and sunset views. Minus(es)-- overall quite dirty...food on bedroom floor, years' worth of dust on swinging doors into hallways,sand covered parking area, recliner broken or very poor, kitchen not well equipped-except appliances/coffee makersNO: colander/grater/spatula(rubber),set of wine glasses(8)/measuring cups/whisk/ serving platter/kitchen shears/set of juice size glasses. Also need hooks on bathroom doors King Mattress in south upstairs BR uncomfortable-needs replacing. downstairs BRs musty smelling. Only 4 seniors staying for week so didn't use d-stairs BRs.Would not recommend to friend unless these minuses fixed.
