Multi Family Vacation

We loved the property, it’s very clean. It’s located near the beach so if you’re a walker it’s an option as well, took the kids about 20 minutes because they get easily side tracked! We had our own private pool, which is a bonus for us because they kids love it. Overall we really loved it.

Nice House

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a beautiful home. The layout worked perfectly for our family. The bedrooms are nicely sized and the shared bathroom is huge! It is nicely decorated and very “beachy”. There were a number of items that were either broken or inoperable, however. The grass was very, very tall and when it was finally mowed, it appeared that a majority of the clippings went right into the pool (which, to our knowledge, was not cleaned while we were there. The house was filthy when we arrived. We have rented from Garden City Realty in the past and I know this is not indicative of their service. We did not request additional housekeeping because once you’re in, you hate the disruption. We had an ac unit break while we were there and it was fixed immediately. It is a very far walk to the beach and one we probably would not have made without the golf cart rental. It was fairly noisy as it’s right next to 17, but it didn’t bother us too much. Overall, it was a nice rental, and it was my understanding that it is new to the GCR rental program. I would hope over time that these issues would be addressed and resolved. Dealing with GCR before, I know a quick phone call could have solved a few of these problems, but when you’re on vacation, you just don’t want to deal with issues.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Clean. Great for children. Great parking. The rental staff was always available and very was further from the beach than we expected but the unit suited all our needs for the week we were there! 5 stars

Stressful vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: After 25+ years of renting vacation homes from Garden City and Dunes, we experience our first issue! I was hoping after years of loyalty and referring numerous families from PA and OH to rent houses in the Garden City/Muriel’s Inlet area our issue would be felt with appropriately! They did work on our pool that made it unusable for several days I asked to be moved to a house with a pool! Their options were not appropriate! They refunded very little money to compensate the stress and crying telling 5 small children they could not swim! We spent more than the refund on day trips to keep the kids entertained and I missed several days at the beach! I guess we will now rent with Dunes or other options! Just hope I really get the minimal refund they promised! Have not gotten it yet! Will share our experience with everyone and for sure the families we have referred to them! Very poor customer service for extremely loyal customers! Plus summer 2024 we will need 2 house! Like in pretty woman “mistake, BIG mistake” not to mention that the refund will be sent to the credit card I used so I will have to use my savings to give all the families that rented back their money! Overall the worst vacation ever in 25+ years! Very disappointed!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time in Garden City! For the most part everything was clean. My biggest complaint was that the screened in Sunroom needed a good cleaning and think it needed pest control. We only saw two bugs in house but sunroom was different. I swept it out which helped some. I called housekeeping and they were right on it. Can’t say enough good about Garden City Realty. They were excellent. The pool was well maintained and was awesome! The kitchen could be better stocked with bigger pots and pans and at least one cake pan. Overall we enjoyed our stay!.

Lots of Potential--Bring Kitchen Supplies Though

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It appears as though this must be a new rental, which in some ways is great, and others not as great. The flooring and furniture all appeared new, and were very nice. One major downside is that the kitchen was not well stocked at all. The occupancy is for 12; however, there is not kitchenware for 12. We only had 10 people and it felt like we were always washing dishes in order to eat. We bought paper plates and plastic cups, but there weren't enough bowls or flatware either. There wasn't a colander, and since we made spaghetti, mac and cheese, and other noodle dishes this was a huge pain. There was a grill, but the only spatula and cooking utensils were rubber, so we had to go buy grilling tools in order to cook out (we did leave these...). There were also limited pots and pans, no large pots or pans, and no baking/roasting pans. The pool was great, not very big, but the kids loved it and the adults used it way more than anticipated.The living room only has seating for 5, and was not large enough for everyone to spend time together. The dining room which is attached to the living room only has 6 chairs and a few stools, but the chairs and stools were not comfortable for hanging out together. It was nice that they were metal for eating lunch in bathing suits though. The listing shows the floorplan as having two living rooms, but the one on the ground floor is really a screened in porch and not a living room.A huge upside for our kids is the proximity to Painter's Ice Cream. It was just a short walk. We rent golf carts, so the distance to the beach was not an issue, but if you're walking, especially with kids and beach gear it is quite a hike.We had a few issues when we arrived (hole in the wall in the bathroom, handrail not attached on the bottom, trash not removed from the property and no empty outdoor trash cans, and missing linens), but these were either remedied or noted by the rental company very quickly.
