Very relaxing stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a well equipped comfortable unit with everything you could need for a lovely vacation. Well equipped kitchen. Couches in living room are very comfortable, I loved the rockers on the porch especially. The view from the 4th floor is great!

Final two days the elevator had some issues where the ground floor button wouldn’t call the elevator but minor glitch. Overall love this building. I have stayed in multiple units and all have been nice.

Reviewer Comments: My Family and I have been vacationing in the Myrtle Beach area for 30 years and have stayed at Compass Rose for the past 8 and will continue to stay there. Private pool and beach access is the best! The only issue we had was with the keypad entry on the front door.

Good but a Couple of Issued

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Fantastic location - far enough away to avoid crowds and draw families. There was supposed to be pier access across the street but the code didn’t work and when I called I was told the pier may or may not be open due to needed repair’s following last year’s hurricane. Also DHEC closed down the pool for the better half of our stay. So we lost two of the perks that made this property so attractive and worth the extra money. Would have been nice for someone to have compensated us for lost pool time and told us the pier was closed before we arrived. Glad we didn’t bring a boat!

We like that it is 2 miles away from all the action of the pier. Makes for quieter times and less crowded beaches. This unit is great. Well stocked. Plenty of seating. It was comfortable and clean! The only problem was the queen size bed in the guest room could use a new mattress, the one there is very soft and you roll to the center. The primary bedroom and the king/bunk room was very comfortable.

A Dream Come True (again and again)

The unit is in a great location to enjoy the many attractions between Myrtle Beach and Georgetown. And it's also a great place to stay, relax and enjoy the beach, or just sit on the porch or balcony and enjoy the views.Appreciate the updates that the owner makes to keep it comfortable and accommodating (though it would be nice to have the carpet and some of the extra furniture removed). And grateful for Garden City Realty's response to all inquiries and requests. It makes a vacation a vacation.

The unit had a nice beach theme. Kitchen has a big skylight but nighttime cooking can be dark with no overhead light. We were visited by a mouse but we informed maintenance.

The condo has two updated bathrooms and the water stayed hot for multiple back to back showers (an improvement over last year). The kitchen is stocked nicely. Beds are comfortable. Plenty of seating in the den and kitchen. We loved the new keyless entry as it was easier than keeping up with the keys. Only issues we had were there were no oven mitts/pot holders. Note the kitchen is dark at night as there are no overhead lights. If you like to cook after the sun goes down the only lights you have are from the bar area. We have already booked for next year.

They are not comfortable due to worn springs or something. They did have 2 recliners that we used instead so it all worked out for 2 people.We will stay there again.

The only issue is the lack of a dresser in the bedroom with the king bed w/bunk bed top. That's a negative for a condo. Even motel rooms have dressers. The only other issue was the delayed check-in time. Yes, we had a strange year but property managers should have hired more help. We lived up to rental terms, they should also. We lost 2 days due to this as you always lose check-out day.
