Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: As always, staying at the Compass Rose was simply wonderful. The ocean was warm, sitting under my umbrella feeling the ocean breeze in my face and hearing the waves, and all of the seafood was just what i needed.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our visit toCompass Rose Unit 12 was just as we expected. The unit was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The bedrooms were exceptional and had very good bedding. We were there for ten days. We had both of our daughters there and they came at different times with two of our grandchildren. The screened balcony was a favorite with all..Access to the beach and pool was very convenient.. We will be back next year for sure. Garden City Realty was very responsive to our call when the coffee maker quit working. They sent a new one within minutes of our call.

Beautiful location away from the crowd.

The pool and beach are out the back door and access to the pier over the salt water marsh is across the street. We had a perfect view of the sunrise over the ocean and sunset over the marsh. The condo was clean and so comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with any kind of pot, pan, or dish to make whatever meal you could want, including a crockpot. Surfside Beach is only a 10 minute drive and HWY 17 to the other side of the inlet is about 15 minutes by car. There are so many great restaurants at the Marsh Walk and it was a fun place to be. We tried Dead Dog Saloon and loved it, but I'm sure you can't go wrong with any of the restaurants there. I can't wait for our next visit next year!

We are already planning a return trip for Thanksgiving and hope to stay at Compass Rose 12 again.

They checked in to see that we were satisfied and happy with the property. What a nice gesture from THE PROPERTY OWNERS!! Also, one of the pool filter covers broke the second day we were there and MR LOWE had it repaired immediately. WE WERE VERY IMPRESSED and VERY HAPPY with the property and the property care during our vacation. MR & MRS LOWE... THANK YOU!!! The Lyons Family.

Great House, minus the owners

Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was clean. The property manager was very unhelpful. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I will start with the positives, it is a very nice house very close to the beach with a large private pool, as advertised. The only problem, and I am not sure if this is Garden City Realty's fault, is that the owners of the property are constantly "checking in" on the house. This would be okay if done in a friendly manner, but several of my guests were made to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome by their presence. I believe they may be overly concerned about the house because it is currently on the market for sale. The owners appeared every day, including the final day and before the appointed check out time. This is the second year in a row I have stayed at this property. The owners were present last year but did so in a more welcoming manner. Because of this I will be looking for other houses next year, though still preferably with Garden City.
