Very nice cottage. Be aware of stairs and uneven ground. Was hard for the hubby with his knee surgery. Other than that is was really comfortable.

We have stayed in many rental properties throughout the world. This one ranks amongst the best.Perfect location, wonderful accommodations, complete privacy and the best dog friendly property we have ever rented, and we have a Border Collie!If you do not rent this property, you are a fool.

The place was very clean, but a little too rustic for us. We had a big ant invasion at the end of our stay, not due to leaving any food out. They may have been looking for water.

Cozy Cottage

We loved our stay, the place is very comforable and quiet. A very short walk to town and a short drive to many places. There is a farmers market every Sunday in the park, we thought we were on the set of a Hallmark movie.

Amazing location

Very cute property great yard wrap round porch. Love that it’s dog friendly. We don’t leave our puppy behind when we take vacations. He’s a part of the family and enjoy the the owners allow it. Great location just a two minute walk from downtown Murphy’s and all of the wonderful restaurants nearby.

Wonderful relaxing weekend!

Super charming and great location

A very charming and lovely cottage in a terrific location. This is the second unit on the property; during our stay, the owner was not in the front house, so it was very private. If total privacy is important, I recommend checking before booking.

Cute place, great location

This cottage is as it is described, right close to downtown Murphys, quaint and comfortable. An issue with the cleaning not getting done was unfortunate and left us with an unmade bed and a pile of dirty sheets and towels and Full garbage bins in our place for the entire stay. We did get refunded our cleaning fee and were offered for someone to come to clean our first night after 7 but we were already settled in. The local businesses in Murphys are great and calaveras big trees is a gem.

Our Favorite Spot To Stay

The location, the adorable property and peaceful yard are just perfect. The owner is an absolute gem also. We really enjoyed getting to chat with him. We will be back for sure.

Cute cottage

We picked this location because of its proximity to downtown Murphy’s. Everything was walkable which so nice. The parking at the rental wasn’t great. The listing speaks of ample street parking but it’s a narrow street so I didn’t love feeling like my car could get side swiped at any moment. The cottage itself was adorable. There were a lot of nice touches like fall decor, welcome snacks, awesome water pressure and fresh flowers. On the feedback side, there wasn’t Kleenex. Luckily I had some in my bag. There was also a broken lock on one of the bedroom windows. It’s a safe location but I still don’t love that. There was also an ironing board and no iron so thankfully I had packed an alternative shirt to wear. It’s also literally in someone’s backyard so when the family at the main home was there, it was a bit awkward when we were coming and going.

The Murphys Vibe

This place is amazing!!!!! Murphys is amazing!!!!! My wife and I consider this to be one of the “Best VRBOS” we have ever stayed in after a decade of using VRBOs. The hosts, when we arrived, gave us fresh flowers, a snack gift tray and new cream for coffee people!!! The place was beautiful and very unique - Totally matching what my wife and I call “The Murphys Vibe” - This cottage is so cool….If you’re going to visit Murphys - Do not miss the chance of staying here - You will not regret it!!!! The Sequel

My wife and I really like the location of this place. It is walking distance to down town, and the street is very quiet. The amenities are great, and it just a peaceful place to stay. This is the second time staying there, and the owner is responsive and really great to work with. I look forward to staying there again.

Cute cottage one block from downtown

The cottage is far back in the backyard of the main house. You don't even realize there is another home on the property except that you need to walk past it on the way in. Bed was comfy and the patio was nice. The kitchen had everything we needed. There is some poison oak sprouting up here and there in the yard/hedges so make sure to stay clear of it especially if you bring a dog. It took about 5 minutes to walk to the main street. The drive to the grocery was also about 5 minutes. We enjoyed driving up the hill to the wineries.

Great home base for a stay in Murphys!
