We had a great time at the cabin by the river! The rooms were comfortable and the view of the river was amazing!The location was close to town, but still in the middle of natural surroundings with all the modern conveniences. Local shopping and Arts were amazing!! Communication and check-in were easy. We would definitely stay here again:)

This property and our experience could not have been better. The house is really well built and insulated; the beds and furniture were of great quality and the doors are all solid wood. We didn’t have a fire inside as the house holds heat so well!Lakefront is amazing— the pictures do not lie, the house sits right on the water and it was wonderful having a fire pit and listen to the water. Overall, the house has a nice vibe and we would most definitely recommend it and would love to come back again! Thanks for letting us stay at your beautiful home!

Perfect location! The river was awesome, although I didn’t have much luck fishing. The kids loved playing in the water. The cabin is beautiful and comfy! The host were super helpful throughout our stay, contacted them multiple times for advice and they promptly responded. Would definitely recommend.

We loved the location on the water- it was peaceful and private The cabin was spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. The kitchen was well equipped -we weren't lacking anything we needed. The back and side porches were enjoyable spaces with comfy chairs, a swing, and a picnic table. It was nice to sit out there and enjoy the sound of the.water. My husband caught 5 fish on a fly rod which always makes for a good day for him! We enjoyed our stay very much!

The proximity to the river is priceless. The outdoor areas, to include a huge screened-in, 2nd floor porch, and fire pit make being outside easy and inviting. VOIP phone fills the need at the cabin when cell service fails. A satellite GPS might be best for navigating more than a few miles from populated areas such as Murphy.

Property is very thoughtfully appointed. Beds are comfortable. The bedding and towels were nice quality. Very clean. The steps to the front steps and down to the guest bedrooms are very steep, which could be a consideration for those with mobility issues. The location on the river couldnt be prettier and more relaxing.

This place is so great if you want to get away from it all. Quiet, beautiful view, just nice. Very clean and well equipped. It is remote, however. The long, narrow gravel, road could be "interesting" to navigate in wet weather I would think. But we had a truck so no problem. You do need to use steep stairs to get to the main level, which can be difficult, especially with luggage, for older folks. I didn't like having to haul trash to the dump at the end of the stay but the only other choice was pay 20 extra. These are my honest thoughts. I would recommend and would consider staying again.

Stayed at the Cabin from 7-6-25 thru 7-20-25 and had a wonderful experience. Quiet, peaceful and relaxing. The cabin was found absolutely spotless upon arrival, very well stocked with just about everything you would have in your own home in regards to kitchen utensils, laundry supplies etc. (even the knifes were sharp). Everything that was promised was met by the owners. Wildlife observed were, deer, geese, bald eagles, great blue herons, humming birds and Kingfishers. We absolutely enjoyed our stay. The driveway is 2 miles long and a 10 min drive in/out with a 80% of it gravel/dirt and 20% asphalt with elevation changes and switchbacks. If you are a car enthusiast and are into keeping your vehicle clean the driveway is a challenge. If you are riding or bring a large street style motorcycle Harley/Bagger) the driveway will be a challenge as well (not recommend),. We ended storing our motorcycle and trailer at the storage place on Highway 64 (see Mike) and rode out of there with no issues A duel purpose bike (street/off road) with one up, the driveway would be navigable. Stairs---the cabin has a lot stairs, if you are young, no problem, but my wife and I are in our 70's and found them a bit of a task for us with loading and unloading but that is on us not the cabin and or owners, just making note for us older peeps. If we could give this 6 or 7 stars we would. If the road and stairs are not an issue for you, you need to book your stay here! LOVED IT!

Great view!

We enjoyed our holiday weekend stay! Kitchen has just what is needed, bathrooms too. King bed was comfortable. Loved to be able to hear the river from the porch! Sat outside all weekend and enjoyed several heron and bald eagle sightings. We will be back! Front door needs some attention. A bit loose and not the easiest to use to get in.

Absolutely Amazing Stay!

Our stay in this cabin was absolutely amazing. The view and the sound of the river were spectacular—so peaceful and relaxing. Watching the geese each day added a special touch to the experience.We visited to celebrate my son's birthday, and he had a blast tubing in the river! The cabin itself was spotless and very comfortable, with a fully equipped kitchen that had everything we needed.We truly had a wonderful time and can’t wait to come back!

Amazing Cabin

We absolutely loved the cabin on the Nottely River. Brantz & Gail have a true gem. The cabin is a few feet from the banks of the river. It's absolutely gorgeous. The cabin itself is so beautiful and meticulously clean. I'm a neat freak & whomever cleans the cabin is beyond fantastic. It is stocked with literally any supply for cooking you could want, from pots and pans, to spices to utensils, dishes, you name it. You literally want for nothing. The home is so organized. No cobwebs, dust, it literally is spotless. I felt like this was my home away from home. I hated to leave it. My husband fished 2 days in a row. 1st day he fly fished and had zero bites. The 2nd day he used a regular rod and caught a tiny fish and then a nice sized yellow perch. We loved having a fire the last night and sitting next to the river. You just cannot go wrong with this cabin. It's a dream and I felt so blessed and thankful the owners share this with others. Thank you so much. We will most definitely be back.

Outstanding Stay

This is the second time we have stayed here. It's wonderful, love the screened porch overlooking babbling river. So relaxing listening to the river and watching the geese next door. Perfect location for day trips.
