Stunning views !!

This home has everything you could want. Well equipped kitchen to cook in beautiful outside patios, comfortable beds super fun for entertaining your family. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Mountain vacation

We had a fabulous stay at this mountain home. The pool in the mountain air was perfect. The kids all had plenty of space and plenty of things to do.

If you're looking for a getaway with nobody around and just the sounds of nature this is for you. Just take all you need on your way in because it is in the middle of nowhere but that's what makes it so great and a relaxing vacation!

Beautiful Secluded Home

We had great time on our vacation. The house is beautiful and updated. It accommodated our 2 families and 2 dogs well. We really enjoyed the salt water pool and spent every day in it. Just a heads up for future guests, It does take about 40 minutes to get into town. Both families had a fantastic, memorable time.

Great home with lots of room.

Home was as described with ample room. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The only downfall is the amount of time it takes to get to activities and stores, although this is in the listing.

Escape to the Mountains

We had a wonderful relaxing stay up in the mountains of North Caroline. Very peaceful and quiet, everything that you could possibly need was in the house. Tricky drive through the mountains if you aren't used to it, but well worth the view. Short ride in miles (not time due to the winding roads) to town, with restaurants and a good grocery store. This house would easily fit multiple families.

Family Fun

Great house. There were12 of us and we had plenty of room. The 3rd floor bedroom for the kids was fantastic! Great kitchen and living area. We had a few issues with the pool but the contact person was very helpful and worked in correcting them. Beautiful view and location.

Secluded luxury mountain home

Loved our long weekend! The home is very nice and has great open spaces for big groups! Picture don’t do it justice. Wonderful starry sky at night - we could see the Milky Way. Kitchen has everything you need. Enjoyed the last of pool season.. Owners and property manager were very responsive. We will return!

Perfect Vacation

This home was the perfect for our family vacation! There was more than enough space and room for everyone. Plenty of activities to do like swimming in the pool, relaxing in the hot tub, shooting pool, competing in ping pong, watching movies, playing board games and rocking in the rocking chairs on the deck taking in the beautiful mountain views! I can't say enough great things about this home. I will point out that there is no exaggeration when the description says the grocery store is a 40 minute drive. I don't consider that a negative though because we enjoyed being in the middle of nowhere with nature, peace, and quiet. We purchased most of our groceries before arriving. I recommend this home, especially if you want to just enjoy relaxing fellowship with family. We will definitely visit again!

Beautiful location

Beautiful location far away from the hustle and bustle. An incredible amount of space. Good stargazing when the sky is clear. There were two things that could have made our stay better: 1. The king-sized beds were worn out, and we didn't sleep well on them. The doubles in the upstairs bedroom were much better (we switched to those the second night).2. Mouse poop was found in and around a basement bed (nasty, but this is out in the country so weirdly I'm less upset about this than the poor mattress quality).

If there were a 10 Star Rating this vacation home would get that!

This is an exceptional mountain getaway and home with all the amenities and activities for any number of people, and was an excellent fit for our family of 10 spanning 4 generations (with room to spare). The elevator was a welcome amenity (rarely found) and served well for the matriarch of our family. The activities available in the home (ping-pong table, pool table) and outdoor (pool, hot tub, hiking), plus nearby recreation (National Parks, hiking trails, scenic vistas, waterfalls, mountain biking) and lake activities (boat rentals, white water rafting) provided something for every member and age of our family. The town of Murphy looks quaint and has a casino but we were enjoying ourselves so much at Gray Fox Lodge we did not venture there - this time. We'll be back!

Home has everything!

We had a few hiccups with the pool and previous tenants trash left in the mud room but the house contact helped solve the issues the following day. This home has everything you need to cook. Definitely bring your food in once you get there you don’t want to leave not just because of the distances to the stores but the most relaxing setting. Beautiful pool and views. We visited The field of the wood and the dam you cross over to get to the house. Those are just a short drive from the home. Other than that everything will be atleast a 40 minute drive.

Amazing Secluded Spot

This property was above and beyond what we anticipated. Very well kept and maintained. Far bigger than we expected… which we didn’t mind at all! The pool and hot tub were extremely nice! I had a couple questions at the beginning of our stay and the lady I texted always responded promptly and courteously! Loved our stay here!!

INCREDIBLE!

If I had to summarize the property in one word-it would be QUALITY. From the wonderfully comfortable mattresses to the fully stocked gourmet kitchen (one of 2 kitchens)-this home has it all! Our stay was for a 're-charge' family weekend. However, with the sheer size of the property, it could be used for much more than a 7 person family retreat. From swimming in the pool, to my 4 year old grandson 'hiking' through the forest looking for a bear :)-we had a great relaxing stay. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this property. While the inside of the home was incredible-the true gem was the numerous porches (screened and not screened) that provided a panoramic view. Sitting up high in the cool air-listening to the rain shower, was one of my favorite things this weekend. The home obviously was designed with the majestic view in mind-as the windows shower you with light and provide the breathtaking views. I could go on and on...STAY HERE-YOU WON'T REGRET IT!
