"My partner, dog and I came to sugar island to experience a new place in the UP and we will certainly be returning to Sweet Retreat!! Sheri and Jeff were the most accommodating of hosts and truly go above and beyond to ensure everyone’s comfort and fun. We used the bikes on the property and were lucky enough to take a pontoon cruise with the hosts our last night. The cabin was absolutely adorable and had everything we needed. I couldn’t recommend staying here enough! We can’t wait to come back!"

"Lovely home to use as a home base. Loved seeing the freighters going by. Enjoyed the wildlife this year, Cranes flying south in giant V’s. Bald Eagle Juveniles (4) and 1 Adult Bald Eagle every day, 7 Swans came in for the night. Enjoyed Burgers at Clyde’s Drive In at Rotary Park in Sault St Marie. Enjoyed a whitefish sandwich at the Country Corner Restaurant in Barbeau.Drove down to De Tour to see the top of Lake Huron, the Drummond Island Ferry and saw Pilot boats and the Herbert C Jackson...

Dan thought of everything. No detail was left out. We will definitely stay here again. Such a wonderful experience. My only regret was we didn’t stay longer. "

"This home/apartment is so nice. It's beautifully done. The Host provides everything you could need. We felt so comfortable when relaxing at home. It's also so easy to get to Sault Ste Marie and only 20 minutes to Brimley. We enjoyed the short drive back home after a day of fun. We definitely recommend staying here."
