We really enjoyed our stay at The Pines in Christmas, MI! It was the perfect cozy overnight stop on our trip across the UP. We only wished we could’ve stayed longer but our itinerary didn’t allow it— but we’ll be sure to come back and book this place again! It was a great set up for our family and we particularly enjoyed the living area for late night conversations, coffee (provided by host!) and breakfast at the kitchen table, and the scenic lake views with true fall colors!

The location is outstanding- a scenic lakehouse on a quiet and clean lake in a safe neighborhood and a private dock with access to kayaks and a boat. Only 5 minutes from downtown Munising and 7 minutes from a major grocery that has anything you could want from a hot deli to full bar. The house is so cozy and loved, there is a tankless hot water heater so we always had hot showers and a gas fireplace with an extra heater on the porch for sleeping under the stars and right next to the lake. So many touches made us feel welcomed. We really loved staying here. I highly recommend it!

Danielle, the host, was absolutely wonderful to work with. She was a great communicator and answered all of our questions, including providing spot-on recommendations. The house had all the supplies we might need, comfortable beds, lots of space to spread out, and beautiful views over the lake. This was an ideal location to explore Pictured Rocks and the surrounding towns. We would highly recommend The Pines!

Danielle is a great host and goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable and enjoy your stay. Midweek the lp tank on the grill needed to be exchanged. Within 15 minutes of me contacting her, it was done. We appreciated having a second sink and toilet, a well equipped kitchen, and using the row boat and kayaks. We enjoyed our stay here.

we came up to the UP from illinois for our honeymoon, and we had the BEST time! this house was so perfect & danielle was truly the best host. the house was so cute, cozy, and clean and had everything we needed. we are picky with the air temp in houses, and the AC was 10/10 and kept us nice and cool! we would totally recommend and stay again with danielle!

Perfect location, clean, and amazing host

The house is on a beautiful private lake that is so peaceful in the morning. They have such a great setup and left little things like dog dishes out for us to use which I think goes a long way. The little details they make sure to include so it feels just like home. Literally 2 mins from Christmas and 10 from Muinising. Our host was so responsive and quick to answer any questions we had. Definitely will stay again !

Fabulous Fall Getaway

My husband and I (and our doggy) spent an AMAZING three days of R&R at The Pines. The weather was not super cooperative but the house and its location made up for everything. The fall colors and the view from the backyard area were breathtaking. Easy casting from the dock. Pictured rocks tours not happening due to high winds - no problem, the hikes and scenic views were fine. We wished we could have used the fire pit- no problem, we cozied up in the house with the fireplace and Trivial Pursuit. Rainy and chilly - no problem, the fully stocked kitchen I was able to make some beef stew after a walk to and from a very quick loss at the casino. The host checked in and was readily available if needed. Would recommend this lovely spot for a couple, several couples, or a family. It was perfect!

Beautiful area, great accommodations

The pictures do not do this cabin justice! Cabin is clean, cozy and comfortable! Especially loved the outdoor space. Large yard and very private. Cooked all meals in the kitchen (10 days) and found it very adequate. I would highly recommend this property!

Anniversary Trip

My husband & I stayed here for 3 nights! We had an amazing time & Danielle was wonderful to work with. Loved being so close to pictured rocks with so many things to do. We also loved fishing on the lake, especially my hubby! Would definitely book again. Great trails for riding arc’s from the house, major bonus!

Nice place in Munising

Our family of 6 and 2 dogs stayed at the property in late August 2024. The house was clean and had everything we needed, including a rowboat. We spent some time on the little lake and explored the Munising area and beyond.
