Some opportunities for improvement…
This was the 3rd or 4th time we stayed at Hotel de Ladda. It’s probably still the best hotel in Mukdahan, but certain things begin to show age. The beds are very comfortable and large (wider than a California King size), but the plumbing in the bathroom is not too well maintained. For instance, shower head fixtures are loose, sink has no hot water. Also, breakfast could be improved by having more fruit choices instead of just water melon. Some pineapple would be extremely welcome by most guests, I’m sure!

Ornate French style, on the bank of the Mekong river. Good friendly service. One of the nicest places I have stayed for the price in Thailand!

Probably still the best in town
Stayed here for the first time three years ago, and for the second time now. Service and maintenance could be improved. For instance, shower door seals are slowly coming off, toilet paper dispenser not properly attached to the wall. Also, unloading/loading luggage is quite difficult with sloping hotel entrance and undersized carts. Breakfast has improved, however, and is now buffet-style. View onto Mekhong River is, of course, always a special treat!

Nice Hotel and Staff

Location is great
Location is great but atmosphere and hotel standard I believe is not up to the price range. Another thing was the breakfast location, inside when you are at one of the best places to view the sunrise in Thailand. Make a sitting arrangement outside and this will be a great experience for breakfast with the sun rising from east with Laos and Mekong river

Okay, but small things would make it better
de Ladda is quite possibly the best, most modern hotel in Mukdahan, and it is quite okay overall. Staff were pleasant, parking easy, good location for us, and right on the banks of the Mekong. Breakfast was passable (more so if Thai food is your morning preference). The hotel build is very provincial (local standards). A lot was spent, but the finishing leaves something to be desired, particularly in the bathroom. There is only one bedside table and lamp (is there an assumption that in any given couple only one person needs a table/light?). And very thin walls -- can hear everything going on in the next room. And, unbelievably, there is no furniture on the good-sized balcony overlooking the river. Don't ask me why...I just cannot understand this. Each morning we would have to carry out the (single) bedside table + a footstool and chair onto the balcony to have our coffee and watch the sunrise, and the same again in the evening for our sundowner drinks. If we were to return to Mukdahan we'd likely stay here again, but only because there's not a lot of "upscale" choice in the city, and the view is delightful

Beautiful hotel - best viiew of mekong river, dipping pool is a pkus. Gym was small but adequate for a quick workout. Walking path is available along Mekong river. Pond - the staff was courteous and extra helpful in making sure our breakfast was without MSG.

Perfect location for sunrise over Mekhong
Great location for watching sunrise over the Mekhong river. Spacious room, comfortable bed, good shower, but awkward bathtub. Decoration is a mixture of Versailles palace and kitsch. A bit out of town; therefore, own car is recommended.

New hotel but need some improvements
The hotel is new but not constructed very well. In the bathroom all things are glued together. The pillows are very thick and hard so not very comfortable. The location is nice on the river and there are a couple of restaurants near by.

This Hotel should be Quality Service throughout the establishment..... It is not The hotels nightly charge is expensive for rural Issan - Therefore you expect good service - it does NOT deliver! Receptionists were OK but not welcoming. Rooms were great and maid service was great. But Breakfast O.M.G what a chaotic shambles.... Both mornings there was no Buffet ( not enough guests ) so food is cooked in a downstairs kitchen and delivered via a lift. The first morning the young man took my orders, and food did not arrive for 30 minutes ( yes my order had been forgotten somewhere ) although my wife's food took only 5 minutes - I was NOT IMPRESSED. Breakfast Staff, especially the older lady are most unwelcoming.... We would stay at this hotel again, but not with breakfast included.

The best hotel in Mukdahan. Views if the Mekong river from every room. Ok breakfast. Xfinity pool. Very clean. Poor WiFi for such a nice hotel.
