House stay in Mudgee-house not ready
House was not cleaned when we arrived at the property. Beds not made, bathrooms and kitchen not cleaned. Had to make our own beds when we arrived. Property was not cleaned until day 3 of us staying there. We were not offered a refund for this inconvenience and lack of service. Very disappointing as the property was booked and paid for well over 12 months before our arrival date.

Overall great experience
We enjoyed the stay.. Time in the pool was awesome.. Didn't have much options for kids. A smart TV with a netflix account would have enhanced their experience. Lighting was a bit depressing and insufficient.

Cozy fire with a view
Very spacious. Big rooms. Glorious views of mountain range. Tad noisy at times with traffic frequenting the lookout across the road in the wee hours of the morning. Needs some TLC in areas.

Great accommodation for lots of people, but the common areas won’t accommodate them all.
This property has a great location in Mudgee, with views from the front and back of the house. The bedrooms are all well appointed and spacious, but could benefit from a mirror or 2. The property was lovely and clean. The host was very responsive and answered all of my questions. There are however a few things to keep in mind when looking at this property. It sleeps so many comfortably, but if you want to share dinner or watch a movie there is not enough room. The dining table has only 6 seats with another 2 on the side. We had to bring in the outdoor furniture and it was a tight squeeze. Same with the living room, there is a rumpus but that doesn’t benefit from the fireplace. The kitchen needs some love, there is no range hood and the lighting is poor, even with both the lamps (?!) on. The main bathroom shower is very slippery and the water pressure and temperature is hit and miss, however the en-suite is perfect. Whilst I enjoyed my stay I think there are pros and cons that you should consider before you book.

Great Mountain Views
The property suited our needs. The house was spacious, and offered an outside entertainment area. We had a complimentary bottle of wine, and the kitchen had condiments supplied. Thank you Michelle for provided these items to us.

Pleasant stay

Large house close to Mudgee centre
The house was big. Bedroom sizes were very generous and slept lots of us which was perfect for our extended family. The living space was in comparison small. But being a winter getaway we made great use of the fireplace in the lounge room which was lovely. The dining room table doesn’t seat the number of people that it sleeps but we made do with splitting mealtimes. The kitchen as previously reviewed was very very dark even with the lamps. Having young kids meant we generally ate at the house in the evenings. Being such a large house that sleeps lots of people more kitchenware would probably be appreciated, more bowls, glasses, kids plates/cups and platters etc. Overall a good house, close to town, probably better in warmer months rather than the middle of winter as there is a big pool and grasses area for kids. Thank you for having us. Thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Mudgee.

Hi Maree! Thanks for the review. Lighting in new Kitchen is being upgraded but waiting for a gap in bookings. Hope you didn’t miss the huge rumpus room off the laundry that is brilliantly sound proofed for noisy kids and teenagers! Never had anyone say House was too small! It’s about 380sqm and bedrooms are massive;)
