Charming Cabin. Located between New River Gorge and Summersville Lake

  • Hemlock Hill is a small open floor plan including bedroom 700 square foot cabin located on the Meadow River Ranch in Mount Lookout, West Virginia. The cabin is situated at the end of a long gravel driveway and is away from the main house. The cabin has one room with a private bathroom and is a perfect couples retreat. This peaceful retreat offers a cozy atmosphere perfect for guests looking to unwind. The cabin has a full kitchen with indoor and outdoor seating.

    The Meadow River Ranch and Hemlock Hill are located:
    8.3 miles to Summersville Lake State Park
    11.6 miles to the New River Gorge Bridge
    13.8 miles to Hawks Nest State Park
    15 miles to Babcock State Park

    We are close to everything these parks have to offer; rafting, boating, hiking, and climbing.

The cabin was so beautiful and close to everything we wanted to do in and around the gorge. Very clean and cozy, we even had the cows to keep us company next door.

The cabin was GREAT. Loved the location and views in the mornings and evenings. Communication with the host was smooth and prompt. Great place to get away and relax. Would highly recommend this location if you are coming to the area.

Very great place to stay. It was both convenient and off the beaten path. It is close to New River Gorge National Park and Summersville Lake State Park. Not to mention it is close to multiple other sights and restaurants. It was clean, peaceful, and host made instructions for check in and check out easy. Would definitely stay again!

The pictures can’t show enough how nice this cabin is! We loved every minute of our stay. The location between Summerville and New River Gorge is perfect. We enjoyed the wildlife and livestock roaming the pasturesNext to the cabin! Laundry facilities would have been the only thing to truly make this property perfect.

Clean, comfortable and charming cabin. Secluded location. We would definitely stay here again. Great communication with host. Plenty of parking. Front and back porch are wonderful for sitting relaxing and enjoying all types of wildlife.

This was a truly private, cozy cabin! It was perfect! Modern amenities, well decorated, well equipped. Perfect for a couple's getaway! And beautiful setting! Close to lots of activities, dining and shopping! We loved it!!

Cabin was incredibly clean and cozy! Couch and bed were very comfortable and amenities were all well stocked. Loved the location— was so conveniently close to all the activities we had planned yet still quaint and off the beaten path. There is an awesome farm stand with homemade baked goods at the end of the driveway that was an unexpected and added bonus. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. Definitely would recommended to others!!

The cabin is so quaint and cute. Perfect couple's getaway! Everything seemed very new and clean. Erika was very communicative and east to work with as well! The cabin is tucked away in a secluded area so you get the enjoy the peacefulness but still within a 15 minute drive to restaurants and the National Park. Highly recommend and would stay again! There is also this cute stand near the end of the driveway that sells baked goods and they were so delicious....make sure to check it out if it's open.

Everything was great. Extremely clean, loved all the wildlife and farm animals greeting us in the pasture. Very quiet and private. Great location, close to the bridge visitor center and within reasonable driving distance to all the visitor centers for New River Gorge. We were able to hit them all and get some good hikes in on our long Memorial Day weekend. This was the perfect home base.

Can’t say enough (positive) about this lovely cabin! Setting was fabulous, clean, well appointed, close to activities, convenient, etc. Our host was very responsive, answering questions right away, etc. Would stay again!!

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin! It was peaceful and exactly as described. We loved watching the cows out in the pasture, and the bed and couch were both incredibly comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked, and the whole place was spotless. We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway!

Absolutely gorgeous cabin!! Relaxing and private setting and was located close to several state parks and attractions that we wanted to visit..very clean and cozy…linens and kitchen items also provided, plus WiFi access, and our host was very kind and helpful. We had a wonderful time!!!
