Loved the cabin, the creek was amazing. It got pretty low, then it rained and it was higher than when we first got there! My husband got A LOT of bug bites, we washed the bedding in our laundry detergent, still got eaten. (I have pics)I'm not sure when the grill was last replaced but we had to juryrig a drip pan for it. Sometimes your food starts on fire and one time it took an hour to cook burgers. Overall it's an amazing place to sit in the creek and chat, read, or relax. It was a great birthday weekend. We would love to go back.

Wonderful stay! Just book it!

The property is absolutely lovely! The house was clean & they even had coffee and tea! It was so relaxing to sit and watch/listen to the creek. I would love to go back with my daughter. The loft area is just adorable & I know she'd love it. My husband and I went for a weekend getaway for our anniversary. We trailered his motorcycle and took a cruise on the gorgeous winding roads in Mountain View. I'd highly reccomend this rental. Bring a good flashlight if you're arriving after dark, as there are no lights and it's a little difficult to find at night.

Quick getaway

Found this home for our quick getaway we wanted something close to town but not in the mix. Checking in was a breeze, I will say the 13 acres are more the drive to the property with other homes close by. The creek was amazing we spent most of our time playing in it. The house was clean with some exceptions; there were mouse traps on the kitchen counters and the bathroom towels all smelt musty. While there a tornado hit not far from us, power went out but came back quickly. I think access to basement needs to be an option. Overall stay was nice.

Thanksgiving holiday

We stayed this week of thankgiving to get away and it was exactly what we had hoped for. The cabin was so nice and the creek was peaceful. We all enjoyed the selection of games our whole family played. It was the perfect getaway!

Cozy and clean Lake Cottage

The lake cottage was clean, comfortable, and very cozy. Perfect for two people. The lake was so close, we slept soundly listening to the waves come to shore. The owner happened to be leaving as we were arriving, so we met him. He was an excellent host. We highly recommend this cottage!

Loved the location. The porch view by the creek was so relaxing. Teenager loved the spiral staircase and loft bedroom. 2 days was not long enough. We will be back. Thank you for sharing your home with us

Would recommend

The cabin had everything we needed for our group of 6. We even saw some deer around in the yard and creek. We had never been to Mirror Lake or Blanchard Springs Caven. Both are close and definitely worth seeing. We also loved the peace and quiet of the cabin area.

Very peaceful

We really enjoyed our stay here. It is just what we needed to unwind and relax. I will say that the name of the wifi in the check in instructions was incorrect but we figured it out. The owners of the property provided everything we would’ve needed but if you’re looking at an extended stay, like more than 3 nights, you may need some extra paper products just to be prepared. There was even a first aid kit in the kitchen. We have stayed in other places where absolutely nothing was provided so this was a welcome change. Would stay here again!

Cabin on the creek

We enjoyed our stay saw some otters and deer and even got to feed a duck in the creek. Water was clear and cold the kids loved playing in the creek and after the rain they were able to float on the tubes. There were some wasp I had to take care of but the cabin is remote so kind of expected. We had a really great time at the cabin and in creek

Very nice getaway for our entire family!

This is our second trip to Mountain View and we had a great time. The cabin looks perfect for our needs. It was clean spacious enough for seven people, and the view was incredible. My Family and I thoroughly enjoyed the creek The fire pit, the wraparound porch and the fireflies. Our dogs had a blast and I'm quite sure they were not ready to leave. I would recommend anybody that would like to have a relaxing getaway type of vacation. We definitely plan to come back to this cabin and we have shared it with friends. Thanks for sharing your home with us.
