"It was a perfect little getaway weekend for two. Clean, comfortable beds in a cute, cozy cabin. We felt like we were in a tree house. Watched scrub jays in the treetops by day and bats under the starry night sky as the sun set from our vantage point in the jacuzzi. We didn't run into any hiccups at all. We were able to make the 3-point turn twice a day to park in our big Ford F150. A smaller car should have no trouble at all. We loved it. Wish we were still there!"

"The esthetics and surrounding forest make this an ideal mountain get away! The property is clean and well appointed. The bed and furniture were comfortable. I was happily surprised to find a mini fridge and coffee maker. There is a working fireplace, which we took advantage of, as it was cool one evening. Good proximity to the Nature Center and downtown Idyllwild."

"The hobbit house is a very charming home. It’s been beautifully remodeled, and the grounds are perfect for making dinners at home. It is walking distance to everything that you might need in Idyllwild. And most importantly, in my opinion, the property manager/owner was only a phone call away. When we needed anything at all, we could contact him and he responded. This is very important in my opinion. Highly recommend! It’s a great place to stay."
