Susan’s place in Mt. Holly was perfect for our family, including our dog. The thoughtful touches for furry family members were so appreciated, and the kitchen was very well equipped for cooking meals at home. The house feels peaceful and private, tucked into the woods, yet it’s just a short drive to Okemo for skiing. Having a dryer on-site (and a laundromat only 10 minutes away) was a huge bonus. We had a very icy weekend, and Susan went above and beyond by sending someone to take care of the area to ensure our safety. We felt truly cared for and would absolutely recommend Susan’s place to anyone looking for a cozy, well-appointed, and welcoming stay.

Great Spot

I had an amazing stay at this cozy cottage with my family and dog! The place was perfect for a winter ski getaway, minutes from Okemo and the host went above and beyond to make sure everything was comfortable. With the heavy snow, they were incredibly attentive, helping us clear the driveway and making sure we had everything we needed. The cottage itself was warm, charming, and dog-friendly, with plenty of space for my kids who loved the loft sleeping area! I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

A great home only 6 minutes from the mountain.

Our skiing vacation was perfect. House is right down the road from Okemo. The house was very clean and well maintained. The house was stocked with everything we needed as well. The owners responded quickly to any inquiries I had. The living areas are small. There was 5 of us. 4 large guys. And that’s all that could fit on the couch to watch tv at night. Not sure how we could have fit 3 more people. The house was great for bringing the dog too. Lots of woods for her to run in and on a quiet road so wasn’t worried about traffic. They even had dog towels in case she got wet, dog bowls and treats which was a nice touch. I would definitely stay here again!!

Slice of heaven!

We cannot wait to stay here again next year. The house was amazing. Everything was as described and then some. Location is wonderful, only a couple minutes drive down to the mountain. Plenty of space for everyone to hang out . We just can't say enough about the hospitality that the owner and property manager showed towards us. These are the experiences that last a lifetime for us and we couldn't have done it without them.

Best Okemo rental ever!

We had the most fabulous stay here. So close to Okemo (we even went back to walk the dog midday), and at the same time secluded and private with the woods and stream. The house has everything you need, is well maintained, clean and the most attentive hosts we've ever had. I highly recommend for families, couples, anyone. We will definitely be back, thank you!

Autumn Joy!

We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful home in October. The fall foliage was amazing! The home was well appointed in a beautiful setting and so peaceful. We loved the surrounding towns and country drives. The property owners were responsive with excellent communication. This really was a magical trip and we hope to return to the area again. I highly recommend - both the home and this beautiful part of Vermont!

Cozy and Comfortable Home!

We loved staying at this house! The location was perfect: about 4 minutes from Okemo Mountain. Susan's home was cozy and inviting. It had a wonderful "ski chalet" feel to it. The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with everything we needed. Communication with Susan (and the property manager) was very easy. We would highly recommend this home. Looking forward to staying there again!

Peace and Quiet

Great house in a super quiet and private setting within a 10 minute drive to Okemo. We had a fire going most of the time we were home and it was very relaxing and enjoyable. Skiing was great too. Thanks for the easy check in and check out process! We’ll come back again

Great house for ski weekend

House was clean and perfect for family of four (with a bed to spare). Short drive to Okemo. Was nice to arrive with lights and heat on for us. Communication with owner was easy. Would stay again.

Cozy Cabin

This was a great last minute booking and a gem of a find and first time using VRBO. We have no complaints about the cabin. It was well stocked with necessities and wood stove downstairs is an added bonus feature. If you have more than 6 there is a charge even though the listing states sleeps 8 ( we missed the fine print on this which is on us; however, the assumption is there when the main page states 8 and one child was 2 so we paid extra. Not a complaint just a surprise and others should be aware due to added expense). The house was clean and wood provided for wood stove. The location was easy to get to, well maintained, and very quiet with a beautiful view including a stream. The beds were comfortable and having WiFi was great! The kids had a snowball fight and explored a little. Front porch was great for changing out of ski gear and use of the dryer was very nice with having wet gear. Thank you for the great stay and we hope to go back! We never met Sue, only brief communication with messages; however, we had the pleasure of meeting Doug, co-owner, who was extremely kind and personable and very concerned with safety and making sure guests are taken care of. I would highly recommend, I would only say be aware of extra fees… ( linen, not allowed to bring your own, VRBO booking fee, extra person charge, cleaning fee and of course taxes plus a lodging fee. Grateful the price was low because these fees truly added an additional $900 to our stay) We had an amazing time and now we know what to look for and be prepared for.

Four days away during Christmas week

Conveniently located 7 minutes away from Okemo access road, 40 minutes to Killington. It was Overall a great experience- hiked the trail at the end of the road- skied at Killington- visited Simon Pearce’s store- and the Manchester outlets. Snow mobiling and Ice skating rentals were all sold out-So make reservations early! House was well kept and kitchen well appointed. Wood stove in lower level made the house toasty all of the time. The House actually has two bedrooms with doors, and the loft with two queen beds. A fun time was had by everyone. Looking forward to our next stay. The Civitello’s.

My family and I had a wonderful getaway. The home is very well supplied and comfortable. Our party was 3 adults 3 kids and a dog, so we did find it a little crowded at times. The stairs and paths between furniture are narrow. The home owners were very responsive when we contacted them.

GREAT GETAWAY FROM THE CITY

We had a nice relaxing week at this rental home. We are a family of 5 with a small dog and we all had plenty of space. The deck is spacious with lots of seating, a grill and of space. The kitchen was well equipped. There were games and puzzles for the few rainy days we had. I highly recommend this house.

Sweet Mt Holly Summer Getaway!

We planned a last minute long weekend at the end of June at Sue's charming rental in Mt Holly, VT on the backside of Okemo Mt. Awesome find for us, as it was just the type of place we were hoping to escape to for a long weekend. This place is so close to Ludlow for skiing at okemo that it must be a perfect Winter rental, but we had a blast during the Summer heat. Buttermilk Falls is just down the rode for a hop in the pools and Camp Plymouth State Park has great beach and lake facilities only 15 minutes away. Antiquing in Chester, hiking the healdville trail, and grilling on the porch were some of the activities we enjoyed over the few days on Station Rd. The house is extremely well stocked with almost anything you could ask for and the space was spotlessly clean. Although the home was very comfortable, we found ourselves spending most hours on the large raised deck just listening to the birds and watching the wind blow through the trees. Beautiful location and a cozy home was all we could've wished for so thank you Sue for your hospitality!!
